My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m a friendly, reliable, and caring third-year pharmacy student with a genuine passion for working with children. Growing up with two younger siblings, I naturally took on a caring role from a young age, helping with everything from daily routines and homework to keeping them entertained and safe.
I also have professional experience supporting children with a wide range of needs through my role at The Hamlet, where I worked both in the centre and during home visits. This involved planning fun activities, encouraging independence, supporting personal care when needed, and adapting to each child’s individual personality and needs. The experience strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to create a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable and valued.
I’m responsible, organised, and approachable, and I understand the importance of building trust with both children and parents. Whether it’s playing games, helping with homework, preparing simple meals, or following bedtime routines, I aim to provide dependable care while making sure children have fun and feel supported.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children both professionally and personally. At The Hamlet, I supported children by supervising them, playing games, helping with activities such as cooking, assisting during mealtimes, and ensuring they were safe and happy throughout the day. I also tutor Year 5 pupils, helping them build their confidence and understanding in their schoolwork. Growing up, I regularly babysat my younger siblings and cousins, giving me plenty of hands-on experience with children’s daily routines and individual needs. I enjoy creating a fun, caring, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and well looked after.
