My Summary

My Experience

I have valuable experience working as a childminder and as a nursery practitioner in an Early Years setting. Throughout my childcare career, I have supported children’s learning, development, safety, wellbeing and daily routines while providing warm, responsive and child-centred care.

I have planned and delivered a variety of age-appropriate activities based on children’s individual interests and stages of development. These have included arts and crafts, sensory play, reading, singing, early writing and number activities, cooking, imaginative play and outdoor learning. I understand how to use everyday play experiences to support all seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

I have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and additional needs, including their communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and participation in activities. I use a calm, patient and inclusive approach, adapting activities and routines so that every child can participate, progress and feel valued.

I am experienced in observing children’s development, maintaining appropriate records, following safeguarding procedures and communicating regularly with parents about their child’s routines, achievements, progress and any concerns. I understand the importance of working in partnership with families and other professionals to provide consistent and effective support.

Nursery management recognised me for my dedication, kindness, empathy and valuable contribution to the nursery team. I also received special recognition for the thoughtful care I provided to children with additional needs. My deputy manager described me as having a calm and gentle nature and noted that children are naturally drawn to me.

My wider experience as an Amharic-English interpreter and community support worker has strengthened my communication, listening, confidentiality and cultural-awareness skills. This helps me build positive and respectful relationships with children and families from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

I have also completed training in Safeguarding Children and Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibilities, Child Protection, Food Safety and Hygiene, Safe Sleeping, Fire Safety, Health and Safety in the Workplace, Basic Life Support, Choking Prevention and LifeVac Emergency Response, GDPR Level 3, FGM Awareness, Prevent Duty and British Values, Arranged Marriage Awareness, equality, diversity and inclusion, confidentiality, data protection and preventing radicalisation.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Saturday from 7:00am until 7:00pm. I can provide full-day care, before-school and after-school care, school collections, evening care and flexible childcare by prior arrangement. Please contact me to discuss your child’s needs and the days and hours you require.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Childminding from £8.00 per hour

My standard childminding fee is from £8 per hour, and my babysitting fee is from £15 per hour.

Fees may vary depending on the hours required, the number and ages of the children, school collections, weekends, evenings, short-notice bookings and any additional requirements.

Meals, snacks, outings, nappies and other consumable costs will be discussed with parents before care begins. Full details of fees, payment arrangements, holidays and notice periods will be included in the childcare contract.
