About Me
I’m a warm, caring and reliable babysitter who genuinely loves spending time with children and helping them feel safe, happy and comfortable. I’m currently studying Children’s Nursing and have previous experience working in care, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility and a caring nature.
I understand that leaving your child with someone else can feel daunting, so I would always aim to create a trusting relationship with both you and your little one. I have a DBS on the updated system. Whether it’s playing games, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, helping with homework, preparing simple meals or settling down for bedtime, I’ll make sure your child is well looked after while still having lots of fun!
I’m also happy to help with light household duties to make life a little easier for busy parents. This can include tidying up after the children, washing up, keeping play areas organised, helping with children’s laundry and preparing simple meals and snacks.
I’m friendly, trustworthy and easy to talk to, and I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and become someone you can rely on whenever you need an extra pair of hands or a well-deserved break.
My Experience
I have a range of both personal and professional experience caring for children and vulnerable individuals. As a Children’s Nursing student, I have gained valuable experience supporting children in different healthcare settings, helping me develop a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, safety and wellbeing.
My experience is also very personal. I have a younger brother with Autism, which has given me firsthand experience of supporting a child with additional needs and understanding the importance of patience, communication, routine and adapting to each child as an individual. I am also currently helping to care for my young nephew, who has recently been discharged from NICU, giving me experience of caring for a young baby and understanding the importance of being gentle, attentive and following parents’ guidance closely.
Alongside this, I have previous experience working as a community carer, where I developed skills in providing compassionate, reliable and person-centred care. I also have training in Basic Life Support and moving and handling.
Overall, my experiences have helped me become a patient, caring and responsible person who understands that every child is different. I would always take the time to get to know your child, follow your routines and preferences, and provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment where they feel comfortable and cared for.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying Children’s Nursing at university and have completed relevant training including Basic Life Support and moving and handling. I also hold a Care Certificate and have previous experience working as a community carer, where I developed valuable skills in providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care. My studies and practical experience have helped me develop a strong understanding of safeguarding, communication, health and safety, and supporting individual needs.
My Availability
My availability is generally flexible. As a Children’s Nursing student, there may occasionally be periods when my availability is more limited due to university placements. However, I receive my schedules in advance and organise my weeks accordingly, so I will always communicate my availability clearly and give as much notice as possible. I’m happy to discuss your childcare needs and work with you to find a schedule that suits us both.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
1 child: £12/hour
2 children: £13/hour
3+ children: £14/hour
Evenings/weekends: £13.50/hour
Last-minute bookings: £15/hour
