About Me
Hello! My name is Katie, and I am an American from New York. I am 26 years old, have lived in London for 2 years, and I'm studying to become a KS1 teacher! I have my Master's in Education from UCL, and I am doing my PGCE next September. My goal is to be a Reception teacher, as it has always been my dream to teach children how to read (reading is my favorite thing to do!).
I would describe myself as warm, calm, and dependable. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and creating an environment where they feel safe and understood. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, and being outside.
My Experience
I have extensive experience (10+ years) caring for children of all ages.
Before moving to the UK, I worked as a full-time live-in nanny for the same family for 2.5 years (from when the child was 10 months old until she was three). Since moving to London, I have worked in primary schools as a teaching assistant and SEN teaching assistant (in Paddington and North Kensington) while completing my Masters. Most recently, I provided 1:1 support for a four-year-old child with Autism in Reception. My role involved supporting her communication, sensory regulation, and social development.

My Availability
I am currently seeking a full-time temporary nanny position, ideally for the next three to six months. I can offer full flexibility during that period and would be happy to discuss the family’s anticipated timeframe and childcare needs.
I may also be available for evening or occasional weekend babysitting by arrangement!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £22.00 per hour
My rate starts at £22 per hour for regular nannying and £20 per hour for occasional babysitting. Rates may vary depending on the hours, number of children, and responsibilities involved!
