About Me
Hi, I'm Hayley! I'm a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic childcarer currently studying Psychology. As part of my degree, I completed a specialist module in Developmental Psychology, which helped develop my understanding of children's cognitive, social and emotional development and how to create safe, nurturing environments where they can thrive. Alongside my studies, I've held responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of members of a university sports club, strengthening my confidence, organisation and ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Anyone who’s met a University student will probably understand why that makes excellent childcare preparation - children are often more sensible! I bring a caring "big sister" approach to childcare, balancing fun and creativity with responsibility and safety. Whether that's helping with homework, playing games, reading stories or simply keeping your little ones entertained, my aim is always to ensure children feel happy, supported and safe while parents have complete peace of mind.
My Experience
I have experience within a range of educational settings primarily. This experience has however included working with a children from a range of background with a range of developmental abilities and at differing milestones and have maintained focus on developing my ability to create safe and nurturing environments for children to explore, learn and develop.
My Qualifications
I have a BSc in Psychology and in my third year completed the specialist developmental psychology module where I expanded upon my understanding of child development. I have since gone on to complete my MEd in the Psychology of Education where I advanced further on this understanding, combing my experience with education in understanding how to create supportive, nurturing and engaging environments.
My Availability
Flexible availability throughout the week, including evenings and weekends where required. I am happy to work around your schedule and can often accommodate last-minute requests.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
