Lowel
Babysitter in London
My Summary
About Me
I’m a 25-year-old Dutch actor and theatre maker from Amsterdam. I moved to London in September to complete a one-year MA at RADA, after receiving my BA in Theatre in Amsterdam.
I’m an open, friendly and caring person who genuinely enjoys being around people and giving them my full attention. I’m naturally energetic, creative and enthusiastic, but I also know when to be calm, patient and a good listener. My main interests are theatre, art, film, music, concerts and visiting museums. I also enjoy cooking and would be very happy to prepare meals when needed.
I live a healthy and active lifestyle, exercise almost every day and do not drink alcohol. I have a full driving licence and speak both Dutch and English fluently, with Dutch as my native language. As an actor and theatre maker, I love storytelling, imaginative games and creative activities, which I would be excited to share with children.
My Experience
I have four young nieces, aged ten, five and one, with the youngest currently on the way. I became an uncle when I was fourteen and have been closely involved in their lives ever since. Over the years, I have regularly looked after them from a young age. This has included picking them up from school, preparing food, taking them on outings, playing with them, caring for them and helping with their bedtime routines.
Although most of my childcare experience comes from within my family, it has given me many years of practical experience with children of different ages. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, and I have found that they usually feel comfortable around me quite quickly. I think this is partly because I am responsible and attentive, while still being playful, adventurous and imaginative.
As an actor and theatre maker, I have a strong imagination and love creating stories, games and little adventures. Children’s openness and creativity inspire me, and I enjoy encouraging them to explore their own ideas while making sure they feel safe, heard and cared for.
My Qualifications
I do not have any formal childcare qualifications, but I have many years of practical experience looking after my four nieces. I also hold a BA in Theatre and am currently completing my MA at RADA.
My Availability
I am fully available throughout the day on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. My classes at RADA take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and evenings, as well as on Saturday mornings and early afternoons. This means I am also available on weekday mornings, Saturday afternoons and evenings, and at other times around my studies.
My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for regular weekly childcare, occasional babysitting and evening work. I am happy to discuss your family’s routine and find times that work well for everyone.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
My standard rate is £15 per hour. This may vary slightly depending on the number of children, the hours required and any additional responsibilities. I am always happy to discuss the rate with families beforehand.
