My Experience
I have over ten years of experience in the disability field, including extensive practical experience supporting children, young people, and adults with special educational needs. I currently work as an SEN Lecturer at Lambeth College in London, where I design and deliver inclusive teaching programmes, develop and review Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, monitor learner progress, coordinate Functional Skills examinations, and collaborate with families, therapists, support staff, and external professionals. Throughout my career, I have worked as an SEN Teacher, Teaching Assistant, and volunteer, supporting learners with autism, complex disabilities, communication difficulties, emotional regulation needs, and challenging behaviours. I have experience using a range of approaches and communication methods, including Makaton, PECS, BSL, visual resources, Thrive, PACE, Positive Handling, and Zones of Regulation. My background also includes developing personalised learning targets, preparing students for employment and independent living, promoting social and emotional development, and supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. With a degree in Special Psychopedagogy and a Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs and Disability, I combine academic knowledge with practical experience to create meaningful learning opportunities and support positive, long-term outcomes for every learner.
My Qualifications
I gained a Batchelor degrees in Special Psychopedagogy which equipped me with assets about developmental psychology. This helps me to guide my students and their families in the most efficient way.
I have a master degree in Special Education Needs. This helped me to understand the laws and ways of support.
Beside I have done many courses, from safeguarding, first aid, communication, mental health, and many more, all fully accredited.
My Availability
I am available after 5pm Monday, Thursday and Friday, weekends as well when needed.
