About Me
Hi, I'm Ellie! I'm a friendly, caring and enthusiastic person based in the Bude area. I love working with children and am naturally quite creative and outgoing.
In my spare time I love travelling, baking, photography, spending time with my friends and family, and being around animals. I also really enjoy anything creative, particularly performing arts, crafts and coming up with fun activities.
I'm have just finshed a level 2 in Counselling and have recently returned from my fourth summer working at a summer camp in America, which is one of my favourite places and something I'm incredibly passionate about.
I'm a very positive and approachable person, but I'm also responsible and dependable. I love getting to know each child's individual personality and interests, whether that means getting involved in games and crafts, baking together, spending time outdoors or having a quieter evening watching a film and reading stories.
I'm based around Bude but I'm happy to travel further for the right family.
My Experience
I have lots of experience working with children of all different ages, from around 6 months old through to teenagers. I have babysitting experience and have just completed my fourth summer working at a summer camp in America, which is something I absolutely love.
At camp, I have been responsible for caring for children day-to-day, supporting them when they are struggling or missing home, helping with routines and making sure they feel safe, happy and included. I also have lots of experience planning and running activities, games and special events for children, so I love getting involved and having fun rather than just supervising.
I have an Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and I have just finished a level 2 course in Counselling. Both have helped me develop my confidence, creativity, communication and listening skills, which I find really valuable when working with children.
What drives me most is being able to make a positive difference to a child's day. I love building genuine relationships with children, getting to know their individual personalities and interests, and creating an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves.
I would describe myself as caring, enthusiastic, patient, creative and responsible. I am equally happy having a quiet evening reading stories and watching a film, or getting involved with crafts, baking, games and imaginative activities!

My Availability
My availability it's from early mornings before school to overnight. Monday through Sunday. Though during day of the school holidays I am busier but if needed I'm sure we can work something out.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
My usual babysitting rate is £14 per hour. I am happy to discuss rates depending on the number of children, hours required, travel distance and individual family's needs.
I am based in the Bude area but am happy to travel further for babysitting opportunities. For longer distances, I may ask for a small contribution towards travel costs, which can be agreed beforehand.
