About Me
Hi, my name is Antonia, and I’m excited to discover whether we could be a great fit for each other! I’m a dual citizen, originally from the States—you’ll probably be able to tell from my accent. I grew up in New Hampshire so I developed a real love for the outdoors and know an incredible number of fun and exciting outdoor activities. I also grew up in California, where I studied Psychology for three years, including courses in Early Childhood Education, Lifespan Development, and more.
I am now switching careers to become a Primary teacher. I am now in my second year of Education Studies at Oxford Brookes University to accomplish my goal. I absolutely adore children and the learning process! I believe young children often simply want to feel heard, receive positive attention, and have opportunities to ask questions and discover who they are through play and safe, nurturing environments.
I’m extremely patient, caring, and attentive, and I believe in supporting children at their own pace while encouraging their curiosity, confidence, and development.
SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS:
On tuesdays and Fridays I have classes ending at 3:00 pm on Headington Hill. I can make my way to your place right after. I would estimate 4:00 pm arrival depending on your location and traffic.
My Experience
I’m currently in my second year of Education Studies at Oxford Brookes University, working towards becoming a primary school teacher. Before moving to the UK, I studied psychology for three years at university in the US, including courses in lifespan development and early childhood education.
I’ve cared for children in several settings. I was a nanny for three years for children aged three to six, taking them to extracurricular activities, tutoring them, cooking dinner, helping with bedtime and tidying up afterwards. I’ve also babysat for other families and taught educational workshops for teenagers through Amigos de las Américas. In my own family, I played a significant role in raising my younger brother, helping him with school and teaching him everything from riding a bike to practical skills such as grocery shopping and opening a bank account. Most recently I completed my placement at Oxford University Balliol Nursery.
I adore children and would love to find a family I can really connect with. My hope is to be a consistent, positive presence in a child’s life: someone they feel comfortable with, can learn alongside and can rely on as they grow.

- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
Nannying from £20.00 an hour
Minimum of 3 hours per day payable.
I am a self employed nanny so I am liable for my own NIC and tax income, as well as covering my own annual leave.
Occasional evening baby sitting £17 an hour
