About Me
My name is Carol and I am married to Jim. We live in a 3 bed semi detached house close to the town centre and all local amenities. I have a large back garden with outside toys but also live very close to local parks, one of which is situated in the next cul de sac and we often visit this when walking back from school pick ups. My main aim is to care for the children as if they were my own . I work very hard building good relationships with my parents as i believe that is essential for the well being of the children . After all they leave their most precious possession with us. I attend various toddler groups / childminding groups on several different days of week mixing with other childminders too. I also take various trips further afield to farms , soft play areas, beach etc.
My Experience
I am ofsted registered with an overall rating of 'Good' for my last inspection. I achieved 'Outstanding' in the area of partnership with parents and good in all other areas.
I have been doing this job for 37 years now and have cared for children as young as 6weeks up to 12 years old.. I also regularly babysit for my parents.
My Qualifications
My main qualification is 37 years of experience in looking after children.

My little boy Shyam has been with Carol for around for 4 months and we couldn’t be more happier with how he has settled in, as well as the relationship he has developed with her.
With no family support, I was struggling with work/house work and so a child minder was something we wanted for a short period before Shyam started nursery - Carol has been very flexible with us given our contract with her is a short one, she has been supportive in giving us tips on what we can do with Shyam in certain aspect of his routine and we have instantly bonded with her because of her very kind and friendly nature. Her communication is excellent and we get responses back in a very good time.
I would highly recommend Carol to anyone looking for child care. She has a lovely set up of toys, but also takes Shyam (and the other children) to various playgroups.
As a Mum who has been home with her child for 18-20 months prior, I felt immense guilt leaving Shyam in childcare, but Carol reassured me that it was not only good for his development, but good for me to have a little bit of a break too.
From the minute we started with Carol we have had no issues and there is common kindness and respect between us.
Shyam will miss Carol when he starts nursery, but because of the bond they have I’m sure he will still see her on his non nursery days.

I have two little treaures one who is nearly 3 1/2 and a boy who is 22 months. My children have two very different personalities and with Carol both their and our needs are both met and understood.
She has this ease with children at her feet that any parent should be proud of and i am very fortunate to have found Carol. I must also say that her flexability with hours and the willing to change where ever possible is fantastic and for any working parent particullary those with shift work is a welcomed relief.
I was uneasy at first of looking for, finding, and then placing my children into a childminder setting.I met with carol several times before placing the children with her and i can honestly say i have not looked back.
You never have to be worried that your child may not get enough attention or social interaction because at Carols the is always an abundance of children, careers or parents and plenty of toys to keep them entertained.
The children look forward to their day(s) at Carols and they are the ones who do not look back when being dropped off and they are still very happily playing when you get there.There is none of the nursery style pick up- children waiting coats on, bag in hand and a piece of paper telling you what they have done, but a relaxed and un rushed chance to get the children ready and discuss the days activities.
Carol will also try her best to carry through any preferences that you have from what they eat, when they sleep and what kind of parenting styles that you would adotp at home to ensure that it is a contiunuation of the childs home setting whilst benefiting from the childcare environment.
I titled this review as part of the family because thats what both Carol, her husband and the other parents and children who use Carols have become.
Her experience and knowledge is an invaluable addtion to her childcare and i have found her a valuable source of information and support with all aspects of family life .
