How can you plan in advance for your Ofsted inspection?

There is no requirement to record any information ‘for Osted’ but you might find it useful to prepare for the Ofsted inspection phone calls and think through the Ofsted inspection areas before you get ‘the call’.

This guide will support you with pre-inspection planning, including reflecting on how to handle Ofsted’s video call, so it’s a calm and well organised conversation with answers at your fingertips.

Ofsted Expected Standard Audit

The ‘expected standard’ is the minimum expectation you must be able to demonstrate during Ofsted inspection. Ofsted say that providers might want to use their early years inspection toolkit as a starting point for professional development.

You do not need a written evaluation or action plan for Ofsted – you do not need to use this guide to write your own document for inspection – it is guidance to help you plan your professional development.
