My Experience
Nearly 20 years working with children from newborn to 17 in nursery, nanny and private tutor roles.
I started as a nursery assistant and volunteered at an after-school homework club, where I gained early 1:1 experience supporting children with ADHD, behavioural and learning difficulties.
From 2015–2023 I worked long-term with a high-profile family of five children (two with SEN). My role grew from private tutor to full nanny/mentor — managing routines, homework, activities, travel and day-to-day wellbeing as the children got older.
Alongside this I’ve provided early years tutoring across London and A-Level support, adapting learning and routines for neurodiverse children.
More recently I’ve been nannying for several families, including:
Term-time care for twins and their older siblings (after-school care, meals, homework, bath/bed routines and full holiday cover)
After-school support for an autistic child
Ad hoc care for a non-verbal child
Companion/mentoring support for autistic and ADHD teenagers, focusing on routine, organisation, emotional regulation and confidence
Strong hands-on SEN experience across all ages, particularly autism, ADHD and non-verbal communication. Used to busy households, mixed ages, and keeping things consistent and running smoothly.
My Qualifications
MA in professional acting from DSL. BA in History from University Of Newcastle
My Availability
I am looking for either full or part time work and am happy to offer baby sitting as well as weekend hours.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
My childcare and baby sit minimum fee is £45 a day (three hours). However I’m happy to consider shorter sits if these are within easy driving distance of central Margate. For longer sits, multiple children and day time sits please contact to discuss rate.

Verity regularly looked after my children for much of last year and was great. She is bubbly, fun and also really calm and patient. My daughter absolutely loved how Verity would bake and do crafts with her. My son has complex needs and Verity was super patient, considerate and never phased by anything.

We’ve been incredibly lucky to have Verity as our childminder. From the very beginning, she has shown warmth, professionalism, and a genuine love for children. Our four daughters immediately felt comfortable and looked forward to every visit. They adore her.
What stands out most is her patience, attentiveness, and ability to connect with children of different ages and personalities. We truly feel at ease knowing our child is in such caring hands.

I have 2 teens with complex needs. My youngest is very reserved and doesn’t like new people. Verity came in and bonded with her immediately - despite my daughter’s resistance. As a result we’ve seen my daughter’s confidence grow and grow, and smile and laugh in a way we haven’t seen for a long while. Verity is incredibly reliable and conscientious, and has an energy and positivity about her that engages and connects with young people. I would highly recommend her to other families.
