I cant thank gemma enough. She is the complete package. She is calm and friendly , professional but humble , she has the right balance of confidence with your baby but not so it’s overbearing in any way . Even her voice is soothing . She really was a life saver with my twins . She gave me tips as I was very inexperienced . Due to Gemma’s routine of bedtime and lights out and method I carried that on and my 4/5 months old twins sleep through the night form 7 to 6. Thank you so so much Gemma , I will

After speaking with Gemma for a few months on and off, I really thought I had found a nanny for our two boys. We agreed to be in contact after the summer holidays so we could meet and ensure she was the perfect fit but sadly all messages have gone unread and I have been ghosted. I am so disappointed as I really thought I had found someone to help through the difficult sleepless nights. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism and lack of courtesy at a reply even if to just say no.

I was deeply saddened to see this review left for Gemma, after Gemma was admitted into hospital a couple of months ago after developing optic neuritis and losing her sight after infliximab chemotherapy treatment for her crohns disease, where she remains for treatment. (Hospital evidence can be provided)
I'm trying my best to oversee everything for her including her dedication to work.
Anyway, I hope this covers your disappointment over the lack of professionalism.

Gemma came to help us when our son was just 6 days old. After a few nights at home (and having to recover from a c section) it was very clear we needed a rest and a few decent nights sleep a week to be able to work in the day and enjoy our new baby without being too sleep deprived. She stayed with us 4 nights a week (most weeks) for 6 months and it was so amazing to know that we had someone we fully trusted to look after our son. On some
occasions she arrived earlier in the evenings to enable us to go out for meals / run errands which was great that she was be flexible too! She was always on time and reliable so we can 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a night nanny. Thank you again Gemma for everything!

It's been a pleasure caring for Jasper and giving you back your much needed sleep and respite whilst trying to recover from a csection.
It's been lovely to see Jasper grow into a really happy and smiley little boy.
Our little boy (Harry) was born 8 weeks prematurely after a complicated pregnancy and challenging delivery. He (and we!) spent his first few weeks on the neonatal intensive care unit and soon after we brought him home, it became clear that he had severe reflux causing him to be unable to lie flat and he had to be held upright continuously which meant that one of us had to be awake with him all through the day & night. It transpired that he had cow's milk protein allergy and his symptoms improved once this had been addressed but by that time, we were completely exhausted and really felt that we needed a bit of help.
Gemma looked after our son two nights per week which gave us incredibly valuable time to rest and also to come to terms with what had been a challenging few weeks/months. She immediately put us at ease & quickly started to feel like part of the family. Gemma helped us to work out the best way to administer Harry's new medications etc which was so welcome, and her practicality, warmth & positivity were just what we needed at a difficult time. She is extremely professional, knowledgable, genuine and caring & she shared her wealth of experience and wisdom with us.
We feel SO fortunate to have found Gemma as she was the ideal person for our family at this time and my son absolutely loved her. I would recommend her to other families unreservedly. We all miss her already!

Choosing me to care for your little boy, born 8 weeks early, with severe colic and allergies was an absolute honour. To watch him thrive over these past 6 months is just amazing.

We experienced a very difficult birth with some follow on trauma which meant that when I returned home from hospital and MBU my rest was critical to my recovery. We found Gemma on childcare.co.uk offering a night nanny service which was ideal to have a couple of nights a week to get a proper night's rest. Gemma is absolutely amazing in many ways. She made us feel instantly comfortable and settled and explained everything very clearly on the first night. After this Gemma would arrive, take our son and look after him all night without us even noticing she was here. Gemma has a wealth of knowledge and experience, which she shares without condescension. Gemma helped us get our little boy into a routine and gave us some fantastic advice to get our son sleeping through the night. We are so grateful to Gemma for helping us through such a difficult time and treating us all with kindness and compassion. Thank you Gemma.

Gemma, or Mary Poppins as we call her because she truly is amazing and has so much experience in her field and has so much time and sympathy for new parents like ourselves and has been a life saver! After having a emergency c section, and being a first time mum I was very exhausted when I returned home, thankfully we came across Gemma and currently have her look after our 8 week old 3 nights a week. Gemma is kind, sympathetic, trustworthy, un judgemental and has a awesome sense of humour which helps pick up your mood when your feeling sleep deprived. I 100% have been able to trust Gemma with looking after our little girl without any issues Gemma has gone above & beyond to help myself and our baby, and has provided amazing tips and advice whenever it has been required. Ive definitely made a friend in Gemma, and am so happy that Matilda has her in her life & I know that in the future if we ever need Gemma, she will be more than willing to lend a hand!

After a very hard few weeks with our newborn and desperately sleep deprived I contacted Gemma to ask for her help.
She was a breath of fresh air and put us at ease immediately. You can tell she has a wealth of experience with newborns so leaving our baby in her capable hands for the night wasn't a worry at all.
We've used her for the past week and she really has changed our lives. I know longer feel tired after a week of rest and our baby seems a lot more settled during the day.
Gemma is a very calming person to be around and anyone looking for help with there new baby should jump at the chance.

Outstanding is the word I think, Gemma used to look after our son during my long days and night shifts that includes picking him from the nursery and some times taking him to the nursery
, she is responsible, nice, friendly and more important clearly interested in he job, She is caring, organised and well liked by our son. We feel that our son is in safe hands.
She is always willing to help and try to accommodate our emergencies and short notice cover as much as she can
I would definitely recommend her.

Gemma awesome! With no family around and my husband away frequently me and my son need help and sanity! Gemma was on time and gave me so much reassurance as a new mum.

I recently employed Gemma for night nannying when I had an urgent situation after having some surgery and was struggling to look after my daughter as a result. It was really short notice and Gemma responded really quickly, also travelling quite far for the job. I hadn't done anything like this before and was struggling with my own recovery as well as an unsettled 4 month old so I was really grateful that she put my mind at rest straight away. Gemma is really friendly and I felt very comfortable with her in my home. She's also really flexible and I got the impression she's an expert in this kind of thing, though I'm sure would be a great day-nanny too. I got lots of good tips on how to settle my baby a bit better. And most importantly I got some sleep!
Will definitely be using her again in the future.
