Webinar FAQ

How does a webinar work?

A webinar is a live online training programme. The trainer delivers the webinar over the internet, in real time so you can ask questions and participate in the training; participants log into the webinar, view the training slides, listen to the trainer deliver the webinar and can ask questions which are answered during the webinar verbally or after the webinar by email.

Will a webinar work on my device?

Webinars should work on all devices including Apple and PC. You can test if your device and connection are suitable prior to watching the webinar. If you are having problems then our webinar platform have their own troubleshooting FAQ.

Will I receive a certificate for the webinar?

Yes, after success completion of the webinar, you can obtain your certificate from the My Certificates page of our website.

How do I log in to a webinar?

You will have received a link to the webinar – follow the link and you will see this registration screen:

Note: – there is a subscription limit of 1000 attendees for webinars. There will be further opportunities to participate if you miss this session or you are unable to attend at the time and date advertised.

Put your registration details into the form and you will see this screen:

You will receive an email confirming you place on the webinar from the webinar company…it should come through pretty quickly (our test email arrived within 5 minutes) BUT it might be in your spam or junk mail box!

The confirmation email you will receive from the webinar company looks like this - it will be personalised with your name and the name of the webinar you have applied to attend:

Before the webinar is due to start you might find it helpful to test your connection and make sure your speakers or headphones work.

How do I Login on the night?

On the evening, before the webinar start time, you will need to log in to the webinar company and click ‘Join the Event’.

Please arrive early so you have time to fiddle with your settings before the webinar starts and ask any questions you would like the trainer to answer.

The presentation will start promptly at the time detailed in schedule and continued interaction with the webinar is a condition of receiving your Participation Certificate and any handouts at the end.
