Children's Behaviour

Ofsted Inspection Focus

Ofsted have announced that inspectors are going to be asked to ‘collect additional evidence on behaviour as part of inspections to find out how the early years affect later attitudes to learning at school’ in inspections during 2017. Inspectors will be observing children’s listening skills, how prepared they are for learning and observing their relationships and interactions with others. They have stated that these observations will help them to better understand how the early years contribute to future attitudes to learning.

You will find more information in the latest Ofsted annual report and this interview with Gill Jones, deputy director of Ofsted.
