I love puzzles, arts and crafts as well as taking long walks and reading a book with a cup of tea.
When I became a parent myself, I fell in love with parenthood and discovered what it was like to adopt an environment where a child feels loved, safe and valued. I was inspired by Montessori and wanted to use my knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage to foster an approach that is led by the child’s interests, their needs and at their own pace.
My Experience
Since becoming a primary school teacher in 2014, I have been privileged to work with some amazing characters with a tremendous amount of energy and love of life. Children are truly inspiring people when they explain their hypothesis for why the sky is blue or how trees grow so tall.
My passion is the Early Years Foundation stage and believe children learning through play is the best way to develop young minds.
As part of my 10 years I have also been lucky enough to work in a nursery with younger children. I enjoyed baking animal biscuits, building bug hotels, mud pies, singing along to songs, reading stories and role playing as an astronaut. This confirmed my decision and wanted to make the move to Nannying. I wish to form strong relationship bonds with the families I work with so that when parents or carers leave their children with me, they know they are in safe hands.
Since I still work in a school setting, I have all current up to date training with regards to paediatric first aid, safeguarding and trauma informed.
My Qualifications
BA Hons Primary Education Degree with
Qualified Teacher Status with over 10 years experience working with children aged 2-11.

My Availability
I currently work part time as a class teacher in an infant school in EYFS. This limits my availability currently to only Tuesdays and Wednesdays day time hours. However when the right family finds me I will be available from August on any day and I can work around you.
