My Summary
Lovely Kiwi Nanny Available From July (Flex)
About Me
Hi, I'm a Kiwi nanny with over 24 years of experience working with children of all ages and a BA in Childhood and Youth Studies, seeking my next challenge. My current role is coming to an end due to redundancy so I'm looking for a new challenge. They're happy to provide me with a fantastic reference! I'd really love another long term role if possible - my last few positions have been 3-5y long and I would love the same again!
Ideally I'd like a 3-4 day role but I'm open to discussion! I'd also consider an after school role, with full days in the holidays, if the hours etc worked. I am also mum to one 8yo girl who has been coming with me to work since she was 5 months old. I'd love to continue this wherever possible, but we have some flexibility with after school club, my husband's job and a great support network. Shes a sweet, laid back assistant and enjoys making new friends! (my current employers will happily give her a reference too!).
I have 24 years experience in childcare and am super enthusiastic, hard-working, affectionate, and have brilliant references. I'm highly organised and have lots of experience with helping to run busy households with lots of children, homework and after school activity schedules, and generally helping out with life admin. One of the things I enjoy most is making a family feel supported - whether that be with a new addition to the family, or helping prepare for exams and the transition to secondary school. I also have plenty of experience with newborns and babies, children with high functioning autism, and children with multiple allergies.
I really enjoy spending time with children and consider myself lots of fun, and really loving. I'm kind and consistent and make them feel valued. The most satisfying feeling at the end of the day is the one that comes with knowing everyone is happy, fed and bathed, everything is in order and we've all had a fun day! I'm skilled at finding out the answers to children's tricky questions, making them laugh, or keeping them updated on the latest rugby world cup happenings while they were at school. I love finding fun activities and places to go.
In my free time I love baking and reading and travelling when possible. I also volunteer with Little Village baby bank supporting families, and the local WI (it's pretty modern these days!).

I have used Rowan for occasional childcare a number of times since the birth of my little girl. Our daughters were born very close together and I met her through a mother’s group.
I have always been delighted with Rowan, she is amazing with my daughter and so lovely to deal with as a parent. Her own daughter is such a sweet little girl and they always play nicely together. My child regularly requests to be minded by Rowan and it is clear how much she enjoys being looked after by her.
