My experience is
both in the public and private sectors working with families who are experiencing crisis and may need statutory, therapeutic or guidance interventions to enable them to overcome their difficulties.
I am a confident, caring and understanding individual who is able to reach out to families an in my experience both parents and children respond well to my practice.
I have an NVQ level 3 in child development and education and have worked with a variety of families who have children with complex needs which have affected their social and emotional development.
I work strategically with children to effect the best outcomes and work closely with parents to establish routines and extra curricula whether inside or outside the home environment to ensure children reach their full potential.
Above all I believe children should enjoy life…..
I have my first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene certificates.
I am also happy to register with OFSTED.
I am also up to date with my EYFS training inclusive of leadership practice.
I have a recent DBS with my current post.

My Experience
I was employed by Social Services as a family centre worker to facilitate change in the families facing problems within a team setting
This included networking, negotiation, on various levels, presentations, assessment, decision making, experience of professionalism and a knowledge of people.
When I moved into Day care provision worked towards my nvq level 3 in early years and at qualifying I led a 2-3 year room and later ran preschool for several years.
At Xcel crèche I was duty manager on Saturdays.
I have acted as a mentor for qualifying staff and also done some training in eyfs, observation skills and planning and assessment.
My education particularly in counselling and personal therapy has enabled me to develop self-awareness and skills in understanding complexities of human behaviour. This has improved my practice managing the difficult issues that arise in case work.
Whilst working for Royal Borough of Kingston I worked as a lead professional having attended levels 1,2 and 3 CAF training and currently I am working towards the EYPS, the early years professional Status a requirement from 2015 of all childcare establishments to have a professional with this status .
I have further worked as a Nursery manager setting up a nursery alongside a crèche where I was responsible for building and training a team in the EYFS, working in partnership with families to ensure the children had the best possible care.
I also implemented policies and worked closely with other agencies safeguard care of the children.
Since then I have worked as a nanny and temped in nurseries and crèches,privately and within the public sector,whilst supporting my daughter who has a young family.
I have had the opportunity to work with all age groups, but believe I would particularly benefit from the under 5s hence choosing to work with providers who specialises in this age group.
