About Me
I have been taking care of children for over 20 years and have always enjoyed it. I believe children flourish when they are happy with the persons and environment they are in . My home is warm,loving, welcoming and comfortable. There is ample space for children to play . We have routines in the course of the day so children know what to expect. This includes spending as much time as possible outdoors. The garden is totally enclosed and safe.
As a qualified and experienced Forest School Leader, we go over to the field where , I encourage children to learn from the outdoors by being outside , investigating, sorting , using their imagination, using tools and learning about the environment.
I have undertaken various qualifications including Qualified Teacher (level 6) to help ensure childrens learning is maximised,
Observations on each child is unique to them , and so each Learning Journal is different. I also have regular update discussions with parents
My Experience
I have worked in a nursery provision and I am able to fully implement the Early Years Foundation Curriculum.
Being on the outskirts of the village, I take full advantage of nature , and so we explore our environments in our outdoor classroom. we also go on trips to the park, feed the ducks, and other local groups.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Zoology , and I am keen to encourage children to learn about things they find around them an support them such as life cycles, growth, decay, their impact on the enviroment they live etc
I have an NVQ in chilccare and progressed to to level 6 Qualified teacher Status
Some of the other training I have done include Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, FIrst Aid , Makaton, Special Educational needs, Social and Emotional Aspects of Development etc

I currently have spaces available all week.
Including spaces for children aged 2,3,4 who qualify for theEARLY YEARS GRANT
