About Me
My name is Jo, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, located in the village of Pill, an excellent location for commuters to Bristol and close to the M5 (Junc 19). I have a lovely bright house in a quiet cul-de-sac, offering lots of safe, secure play space and within walking distance of parks, wildlife walks and great toddler groups. I aim to offer a warm nurturing environment, inspiring learning through creativity and play.

We love Jo and are always happy the way she took care of our daughter. Jo creates a warm, welcoming environment from the time you arrive and a huge variety of activities for the children to keep them entertained, educated and most importantly happy! My daughter has been there since she was 15 months old and has always loved being there. We were really worried about language development and language barrier because we are from Bulgaria and my daughter was mainly listening Bulgarian language most of the time. However, Jo made the settling in so easy and did her best to understand my daughter. Now she is developing her English really well thanks to Jo. I want to point out that my little one is a Covid baby so she was extremely attached to me and did not want any one else. But Jo somehow manage to win her hearth and my daughter absolutely loves Jo's kids. Jo is a childminder that makes sure to have this special bond with the kids she take care for. Jo is a great communicator and always encourage good behavior in kids. She has been giving me some great personal advises and tips in regards to everyday issues with kids. We were very lucky to find such a devoted and passionate childminder.
Overall impressive childminder that we are happy to recommend and sad to leave. Hopefully we meet on the playground.

Jo is a fantastic childminder! My daughter is now 5 and has been going to Jo’s since she was 1. My daughter really looks forward to the days/after school pick-ups when she goes to Jo’s – she offers an incredibly safe, happy and creative family environment for her to be in and she has thrived being there. I have no doubt that it was in part thanks to Jo that my daughter’s transition to school was so seamless – I saw how she grew in confidence socialising with others within the safe and caring environment offered at Jo’s.
Jo does a huge variety of fantastic activities with the children and organises lovely outings and events with other childminders in the village so my daughter got to know other children who go to the local school which she wouldn’t have done otherwise which was great. Jo also took the children out on trips further afield (for e.g. Tyntesfield) which my daughter absolutely loved.
Jo’s communication is fantastic and she is incredibly approachable and friendly and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Trust is probably the most important thing you need when leaving your children in someone else’s hands. Jo is definitely someone you can trust. Right from the beginning she made us feel very welcomed and her friendly, open personality confirmed we made the right decision.
Jo’s house is set up really well for childcare. A very spacious kitchen/dinner plus a great size garden equipped with everything a toddler could dream of. Regular social events full of arts, crafts and fun.
We really love that Jo takes the children out too. They get to enjoy softplay, National Trust properties, parks, woodlands, zoo outings etc.
Jo is a great communicator, as demonstrated during the lockdown when she kept in touch with all of her families via social media. This way all the children had a means of keeping touch with one another and share what they had been up to.
After 9 months with Jo we couldn’t be happier. Our daughter and son love Jo, her husband and her two children who are always very attentive. We feel like a part of family. Thank you.

My son moved from his nursery to Jo's and she went out of her way to ensure that he settled in easily.
Jo provides a loving and safe environment for the children in her care. She has a lovely, spacious playroom for the children and plenty of outdoor space as well.
Jo has a great network with other childminders in the village so is able to provide both a caring, small group environment for children plus a wider social network with other childminders and children. She regularly takes them out to playgroups, the library, trips to the park, to the beach, to the woods so the children are enjoying a variety of activities.
Jo sends regular photos throughout the day of the activities they are doing which is lovely to receive and always communicates how the day has been when I pick my son up.

Our daughter has been going to Jo’s for two years now and we can’t recommend Jo highly enough. She’s professional whilst caring and fun, and builds up great relationships with the kids. Her home is clean, tidy and welcoming and she has a wonderful safe garden, full of fun things for the kids to get explore. Jo also takes them out on lots of day trips and has a brilliant relationship with other childminders in the area, making a brilliantly safe network for the children. Jo’s own children are a testimony to her, as they’re so well behaved and respectful, getting involved and playing with the children too. We’re so pleased we found Jo and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her xx
