About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder who is passionate about providing care and aiding the development of the children I look after.
I provide wholesome home cooked meals and fresh snacks to ensure your child is fully fuelled for activities. I provide a safe and happy environment in which your child can develop. Throughout the week they will learn about the world both within my home and by being taken to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities where they can also interact with others of their own age. Activities we enjoy together include arts and craft, messy and sensory play, music, cooking, soft play and playing in my enclosed garden.
I write a diary every day so you know exactly what your child has been doing and eating. You’ll be able to follow your child’s progress as I also regularly provide learning journey updates showing how your child is developing alongside the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
My Experience
I have been working as a childminder for five years. During this time I have cared for a number of children of varying ages. As a parent I have experience in caring for children meeting their individual needs. Prior to childminding I trained and worked as a physiotherapist and enjoy utilising this knowledge as a childminder to provide activities which will advance the children’s physical development. I have also cared for children in a variety of settings including teaching English as a foreign language to children in Thailand and supervising the crèche at the church which I attend.

My son has been going to Nikki for over a year now, since he was 17 months old, and absolutely loves spending time with her and her family - her own children are a credit to her, and are such sweet friends with my little boy. It is self-evident that he feels comfortable, happy, loved, and supported in her care. We get lovely daily summaries of what he has been up to, including a little text update in the middle of the day, showing a fun range of different outings and activities to keep him busy. We will only very sadly move on in the spring because she doesn’t have space to take my younger son as well when my maternity leave ends, otherwise I wouldn’t hesitate to send him to her too. I recommend her without reservation.

My daughter spent one day a week with Nikki for a year until we moved away. We were very happy with the care that she recieved and our daughter always really enjoyed her time there, often not wanting to come home at the end of the day because she was having so much fun.
I was impressed with the wide variety of activities, both out and about and at home that Nikki did with her. Arts and crafts, cooking, imaginitive play, singing, trips to the park, local groups, soft play and much more. My daughter thrived there and her development in particularly her language really improved.
She provided healthy meals cooked from scratch and was flexible with likes and dislikes etc. Also was accomodating in terms of routine such as nap times.
Nikki's own two children played really nicely with our daughter.
Would highly recommend.
