Charley has been caring for my son for the past year. He is 27 with severe learning difficulties and was dealing with losing his previous carer of 14 years some months before. Change can be difficult for him. So this could have been tricky. A few home visits, some time out all together and then a few a few hours out alone progressed to now where he sees her most weekends. He loves his time with Charley. She took the time to get to know his likes and dislikes. What mattered to him and went at his pace. They go out on adventures, have fun and laugh a lot. I love that he gets so excited when she’s coming and always gets his stuff ready a good 24 hours before! It gives him some time away from us with someone who keeps him safe and we in turn get some valuable respite to recharge our batteries. Thank you Charley 💞
