I was an Ofsted registered childminder from 2010 until May 2017 and was graded ***OUTSTANDING*** in 2015. I then worked at Bennett Memorial School as a school librarian until October 2021. Deciding it was time to work part time and have a better work life balance.
I am married with 3 daughters aged 27, 25 and 14 and live in Tunbridge Wells. I have my own car and a full, clean driving licence.
I am kind, honest and caring and children thrive in my care. I go above and beyond and treat all children with the respect that I would expect my own children to be treated. Parents can be confident that their children will be cared for well, with warmth and will be safe in my care.
I have undertaken lots of training and have a Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Families, Safeguarding Training and training in all areas of learning and development.
I have a thorough knowledge of each area of learning and development and am happy to compile a learning and development folder for each pre-school child in my care as is done at a nursery or childminder. This is a wonderful keepsake!
I enjoy taking children out to toddler groups, parks, day trips and socialise with other childcarers so that children build up a lovely friendship group.
I am happy to work term-time only.

My Experience
I have 3 lovely daughters of my own ranging in age between 14 and 27 who have all attended local nurseries, primary and secondary schools.
I was an OUTSTANDING graded childminder and have my Ofsted reports and references for parents to view.
I have had many years of experience dealing with children from babies upwards.
I have experience dealing with children with food intolerances, allergies, and other dietary requirements.
I have a huge array of excellent references available for prospective parents to view including from current families that I am working with.
My Qualifications

I am educated to degree level.
I have undertaken the Diploma in Home-based Childcare part one.

Sarah was childminder to our little boy for 2 and a half years and did a fantastic job!
I was at first a apprehensive about going back to work, but Sarah's made feel comfortable and her setting is a home from home our little one settled very quickly.
Sarah has a packed timetable of play, arts and crafts, reading, cooking, muddy walks, toddler groups, going to parks, and teaching the little ones about the world around them.
She also cooks a variety of healthy home cooked foods, and to top it all Sarah provided us with an invaluable and treasured daily diary of what each day had brought.
