About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher working at West Leigh Junior School. I live in Hadleigh with my husband and two children. I have years of experience teaching children aged 4- 12 years old. I have also tutored for the past 7 years. I am a mum myself and understand education from both sides. I also appreciate the struggles in getting children to complete homework or the frustration for parents in not being familiar with the current curriculum.
My Experience
I am currently working 4 days a week as a year 3 class teacher at a leigh Junior School. I have been teaching at this school, full time and part time for the last 13 years. I have experience in teaching and tutoring children from age 4-12. In my career I have taught as a class teacher and also as a specialist Maths teacher and as an English gifted and talented teacher. I have also run summer schools with particular focus on 11+ tuition and have a wealth of knowledge in assisting pupils preparing for their 11+ test. I teach Verbal Reasoning on a daily basis which is crucial when preparing children for selection tests. I also have extensive experience teaching and one to one tutoring children with specific leaning needs. I am an experienced teacher with a passion for wanting children to achieve their full potential and become more confident in their own abilities. I have children of my own so understand education from both angles on a personal level. I look forward to hearing from you and working alongside you in helping your children in their learning.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons degree in primary Education. A level chemistry, A level psychology, A level English and A level Religious Education. I have years of experience as a class teacher, 11+ tutor, special education teacher. I have worked personally with children needing support with dyslexia, dyspraxia, hyperlexia, ASD, and ADHD. I have received training from special education experts and attended courses run by southend grammar schools for 11+ preparation.
My Availability
I am available Weeknights from 4pm - 7pm.
I offer one to one tuition, or groups and pairs at a reduced rate. For example if you have more than one child, or a friends child that you would like to share tuition with.
I also run intense 11+ tuition through the holidays on a half day basis.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
Please contact me as fees are negotiable dependent on specific requirements. I do offer reduced rates for multiple tuition if parents want their children tutored together or with friends.
To give you an idea one hour of one to one tuition for 11+ preparation would be £30.00
