I'm a 27 year old childcarer with 11 year's worth of first-hand experience & many interests.
I am a keen musician; I sing mostly as I am signed to a record label and was the alto leader of the Manchester United Foundation Choir, but I also play guitar, piano, drums and the ukulele. Other interests include football, acting, dancing, gym, basketball, traveling and skydiving!
My passion for working with children has increased over the years; my mum was a registered childminder for 13 years, allowing me to be alongside her whilst working and learning more as time went on.
Completing the Prince’s Trust business course and establishing my own business has given me the strive to do well in the jobs I have now.
In terms of my personality, I am very easy to get along with, highly punctual and extremely patient! (This has been tested many times, I'm sure you can all relate)
I have always been mature and level-headed for my age but when it comes to caring for children I have the ability to turn into any princess, Jedi, unicorn, paw patrol character, ninja or even a professional firefighter. (These and more have ALL been tested. Multiple times)
My husband and I have been together for 10 years and enjoy raising our football-loving toddler and patient Jack-Terrier.
My Experience
From age 16-20 I was a volunteer with the organisation Jigsaw, assisting young adults with disabilities on fun days out and encouraging independence.
This profile has allowed me to be a babysitter for 11 years and a nanny for 8, in which time I have cared for children from 3 days old to 14 years and all ages in between.
I have cared for children with seizures, mobility issues, mental health issues and ADHD, autistic children, twins, triplets and have also worked alongside stay-at-home parents.
My first full time nannying job (2016, aged 18) required me to care for 3 children aged 4 months, 2 years and 4 years; I was with this lovely family for 10 months and gained plenty of new experience as a nanny and caring full time for younger children.
Alongside the usual cleaning, preparing food and homework tasks, other personal tasks included:
•Educational games suited to each child's age and personal development
•Motor, cognitive and speech development
•Tracking areas in need of improvement and encouraging this through creative play, outdoor fun and more
I believe that a happy household is very important especially from such young ages, so I ensure that the happiness and safety of the children is at the forefront of everything I do.
In July 2018, I stayed in Ashton for a week whilst the 4, 9 and 10 year old’s mum went on holiday. This was a completely new experience of caring for children on a full time, live-in basis and we had a fun packed week filled with school drop-offs, picnics, roller skating, zip wire fun, pizza making, dance parties and more!
I have had 4 year’s worth of nursery experience including working in an ‘outstanding’ rated nursery as well as a ‘needs improvement’ rated nursery in order to get the most out of my experiences.
During lockdown, I nannied for 3 children in one household and took online courses, building on my experience and knowledge every day.
A nannying job in 2021 required me to care for 5 amazing children between the ages of 6 months - 6 years, so I learned new things daily as well as building up my experience, knowledge, patience and creativity.
Becoming a mother in March of 2023 has given me a new outlook on life and the importance of finding the right person to care for your child; I'm here to ensure your mind will be at peace whilst they're in my care.
My Qualifications
•Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
•Emergency First Aid training
•Paediatric First Aid training
•ABA therapy experience and ongoing training
Other online and face to face courses such as:
Safeguarding, FGM, prevent, moving and handling, phase 1 phonics, speech and language, mark making etc.
(I try to keep up with CPD (continuous personal development) in order to work at a consistently high standard)

Tameka has been an incredible nanny for my twins and Ben (my 6 years old)! She is always polite, kind, and respectful, making both the kids and us feel comfortable and at ease. She maintains a clean and organized environment, which we truly appreciate. Tameka is also very creative and brings so much fun into their lives. The kids absolutely love when she plays and sings the ukulele for them—it’s such a special touch that keeps them entertained and happy. Her skills and attention to their needs are amazing, and we couldn’t ask for a better person to care for our children. We’re truly grateful for everything she does!

This is a massively delayed review but I just wanted to sing Tameka's praises. I booked her to look after my then 13 month old son, and this was the first time we'd ever left him with a 'stranger' but Tameka was everything we could have hoped for, she won him right round, they were playing games, singing and having her look after him totally kept my mind at rest.
She sent us frequent updates, and she will be my first port of call every time we need a sitter, and as soon as she is interested in Nannying again, I would snap her right up!
