*Currently only accepting ad-hoc babysitting jobs*
I'm a 26 year old childcarer with 10 year's worth of first-hand experience & many interests.
I am a keen musician; I sing mostly as I am signed to a record label and was the alto leader of the Manchester United Foundation Choir, but I also play guitar, piano, drums and the ukulele. Other interests include football, acting, dancing, gym, basketball, traveling and skydiving!
My passion for working with children has increased over the years; my mum was a registered childminder for 13 years, allowing me to be alongside her whilst working and learning more as time went on.
Completing the Prince’s Trust business course and establishing my own business has given me the strive to do well in the jobs I have now.
In terms of my personality, I am very easy to get along with, highly punctual and extremely patient! (This has been tested many times, I'm sure you can all relate)
I have always been mature and level-headed for my age but when it comes to caring for children I have the ability to turn into any princess, Jedi, unicorn, paw patrol character, ninja or even a professional firefighter. (These and more have ALL been tested. Multiple times)
I was a volunteer with the organisation Jigsaw, where I worked with others assisting young adults with disabilities on days out with this group - I was a volunteer there for 4 years aged 16-20.
This profile has allowed me to be a babysitter for 10 years and a nanny for 8, in which time I have cared for children from 3 days old to 14 years and all ages in between.
During this time I have experienced children with autism, seizures, mobility issues, mental health issues and ADHD, as well as having experience with twins, triplets and working alongside stay-at-home parents.
My first full time nannying job (2016, aged 18) required me to care for 3 children aged 4 months, 2 years and 4 years; I was with this lovely family for 10 months and gained plenty of new experience as a nanny and caring full time for younger children.
Alongside the usual cleaning, preparing food and homework tasks, other personal tasks included:
•Educational games suited to each child's age and personal development
•Motor, cognitive and speech development
•Tracking any areas in need of improvement and encouraging this through creative play, outdoor fun and more
I believe that a happy household is very important especially from such young ages, so I ensure that the happiness and safety of the children is at the forefront of everything I do.
In July 2018, I stayed in Ashton for a week whilst the 4 year old, 9 year old and 10 year old’s mum went on holiday. This was a completely new experience of caring for children on a full time live-in basis and we had a fun packed week filled with school drop-offs, picnics, roller skating, zip wire fun, pizza making, dance parties and more!
I have had 2 year’s worth of nursery experience including working in an ‘outstanding’ rated nursery as well as a ‘needs improvement’ rated nursery in order to get the most out of my experiences.
During lockdown, I nannied for 3 children in one household and took online courses, building on my experience and knowledge every day.
A nannying job in 2021 required me to care for 5 amazing children between the ages of 6 months - 6 years, so I learned new things daily as well as building up my experience, knowledge, patience and creativity.
Becoming a mother in March of 2023 has given me a new outlook on life and the importance of finding the right person to care for your child; I'm here to ensure your mind will be at peace whilst they're in my care.

We booked Tameka during a recent visit to Manchester. We were attending an adults-only wedding, so we needed someone to watch our 2 boys (ages 7 & 5) for 10 hours. (The wedding and reception had many activities). Tameka was straightforward to communicate with before booking, and we did an introductory video call before the day of the wedding. A tough assignment was made more difficult because it rained on the wedding day. So Tameka had the challenge of being confined to the small space of a hotel room. We thought it would be hard to find things to do besides watching TV or being on tablets, but we shouldn't have worried. She did a great job of having a mixture of activities for the kids including music, art, and photography. The activities were creative and engaging. She sent frequent updates throughout the evening. Our boys spoke very highly of their time with her. We highly recommend you book her, and if we're ever back in Manchester, we will book her again!
Tameka made my kids very comfortable and like family. My youngest is very fussy with new people but had no issues. My oldest said how much fun she was. Incredibly gifted and a natural with children. Very professional and reliable. I would highly recommend.
Tameka is truly an exceptional nanny, showing unwavering attentiveness and genuine care towards my children. Her creativity in planning engaging activities reflects her dedication to their optimal development and growth! With Tameka, I always feel reassured, knowing that her expertise and commitment provide the utmost care for my children.
She effortlessly handles the care of both my children, aged two and a half and six months. Tameka expertly divides her attention between them, ensuring that each child receives the nurturing and engagement they need. Her ability to manage their different needs simultaneously showcases her professionalism and capacity to provide individualized care to both children.
Tameka's skills and devotion make her an invaluable nanny, and I am grateful to have her as part of our family's support system.
Tameka nannied for my son from the age of 6 months to 13 months. She was absolutely incredible with him and I never felt any hesitation about leaving him with her. They would sing songs together, go to the park, play with different toys, she found really creative ways of engaging with him including sensory play.
Since my son has now gone to nursery, Tameka babysits for us and she is just a pleasure to have in our home. She is confident in bathing him and putting him to bed and it really does give you peace of mind.
I couldn't recommend her highly enough, she will honestly be in our lives forever, she is definitely part of our family.
Tameka looked after our 4 month old. We felt super confident and comfortable leaving him in her care! Came home to a very content baby. A lovely lady who we’d happily welcome in again!
