About Me
I'm a 36-year-old German Philosophy/ History student and former nanny, looking to get back into childcare after working in retail for the past 5 years. I started out as an Au Pair in Texas about 17 years ago and, doing it more for the experience than the actual job, realised that I love working with kids and am surprisingly good at it. I have come a long way since then, working for quite a few different families to gather a lot of experience and I am very confident with children of all ages, whether they be well behaved or naughty. I believe in consistency and a firm but fair and most of all fun approach - as well as communication and working hand in hand with the parents.
As I study part-time, I am looking for a part-time position (3 days/ week or 15-20 hours), preferably consecutive days, between the hours of 6am and 5pm. I do not have a driver's license and I am no longer self-employed, which means I would have to be signed up for nanny tax. Several references are available, but it has been a pretty long time since I worked for some of these families (the most recent is from 2019).
