My Summary
About Me
I’m a down-to-earth, fun, and reliable childcare professional with over 19 years of hands-on experience across a variety of settings, including day nurseries, preschools, and 4.5 years as a private nanny. I currently work in a primary school supporting children with special educational needs, which deepened my understanding of inclusive care and strengthened my ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs.
I live in Witham with my husband and our three wonderful children (B:12, G:10, B:9), which has given me invaluable personal insight into child development. I hold a full UK driving licence and have my own car, making me flexible and dependable when it comes to travel and scheduling.
I’m highly organised and thrive in structured environments, with a strong ability to follow routines while remaining responsive to the needs of the children in my care. My experience spans from newborns to 10 year olds, and I’m confident in key developmental areas such as baby weaning, toilet training, and emotional support.
Currently I am completing a child’s mental health course as well as a Psychology diploma.
Creativity is at the heart of my approach—I love discovering new activities, attending groups, and planning engaging outings that encourage learning through play. I’m passionate about helping children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence, and I take pride in creating a nurturing space where they feel safe, happy, and inspired.

Sen 1:1 Learning support assistant in a Primary School
As a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant in a primary school, I provide dedicated support to a child with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially. My role involves closely following tailored learning plans, adapting activities to suit the child’s individual needs, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment where they feel confident and supported.
I work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress, implement strategies, and contribute to regular reviews of the child’s development. I also support emotional regulation, encourage positive behaviour, and use creative approaches to make learning engaging and accessible. Building a trusting relationship with the child is central to my role, and I take pride in being a consistent, compassionate presence in their school day.
