About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder, working in the Hulme area of Manchester. As a firm believer in children learning through play, I offer a secure and stimulating learning environment by providing a wide range of resources and equipment for both indoor and outdoor play, that meet the child's individual needs and interest by working in close partnership with parents. I follow the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for children age 0-5yrs
I am accredited to draw down the free nursery entitlement for 2, 3 and 4yrs old.
I now work with two childminding assistants that are ofsted Registered. They each hold a level 3 paediatric first Aid Certificate and safeguarding certificate.
My Experience
I have lots of experiences in childcare, as I have been childminding since 2008 and also a proud mother of four children. Prior to this, I have also looked after other children on a voluntary basis. Thus, I have gained a vast experience in Multicultural care ,Special Educational Needs, outdoor play and indoor play, where children are given the opportunity to learn through play, by engaging in different types of educational resources and activities.
Examples of Services provided: Playgroups and Childminding groups on Monday, Tuesdays , Wednesdays and Friday and a regular visit to the Hulme Library on Thursdays. Parks, museum, art galleries etc. For more on services provided , please do not hesitate to contact me

Certificate in Childminding Practice
BA honours in " Early Years Childhood and Education
Completed MA in childhood and Youth Educational Studies (2018)

My Availability
I am very flexible and work around parent's time. for example, I presently I care for children from 5 am.
I also provide after school care, mainly from the St Wilfrid's Roman Catholic School , Royce Crescent Primary school, St Philips CofE, St Bede's preparatory, Holy Name , Webster Primary etc

My daughter attended Blessing childcare at the age of 2! My daughter was very clingy and made me feel so bad for leaving her! Selo and her lovely team reassured me and made me feel at ease by sending updates throughout the day! Lots of activities and days out soon made my daughter forget about me! 😂My daughter loves it here and continued coming to the setting after school! She is now nearing high school and still enjoys going!! I think even next year when high school arrives she will still be calling! Much love and respect for the lovely staff for being such caring individuals and providing a fun filled environment! Would highly recommend!

Selo and her team has been amazing in supporting my daughter settling in. The environment was amazing. The activities planned for all the kids were really enjoyable and my daughter improved a lot in her daily behaviour. The setting was clean and filled with lots of interactive toys for the kids. Selo was so nice to have arranged a graduation for all the kids leaving her and it was just amazing. My only regret is that I did not find Selo sooner as I was looking for childcare place for my daughter for almost an year. I would recommend Selo 100%.

My daughter is so happy here, initially I was worried about her settling in. By day 3 she was waving bye bye to me! This is coming from a 16 month old at the time who isn’t too impressed with strangers and can get upset understandably so. Selo and her team Leah and Steph are all great with her and she is so relaxed with them in a lovely, very clean and homely environment. There is a massive play area at the back of the house which is great, aswell as they take the kids out too. Plenty of photos which you would never get from a nursery setting. Home cooked meals, and all different cultures. I could write an essay but very impressed with this setting.

My child started attending Blessing Childcare when he was 6 months old until he started school recently. Blessing Childcare provides care in a supporting and loving environment for children and plans lots of activities in line with the EYFS.
Invaluable advice were given during my child's transitions such as weaning and potty training.Their working hours are flexible and would try as much as they can to help and support you. Although my child is in school, I take him there anytime I need their services and he sees there as his second home.
I highly recommend Blessing Childcare to bring the best out of your child.
