About Me

I am Ofsted registered and have been working as a child minder for over fifteen years. I am married with grown up children who are both University graduates .

I have two mature cats who have both been brought up around children and who have a gentle nature.

I provide a warm and caring environment for children of all ages and abilities to learn and develop at their own pace.

I have a large variety of toys and resources to help children develop and have fun.

I provide daily opportunities for stories, singing, free play, fresh air, naps and quiet time.

I provide regular opportunities for children to get messy with sensory play including, sand, water, paint, mini digging area, and bubbles to name a few.

I take the children outside every day, ensuring they have lots of fresh air and exercise. We use the garden daily, visit local parks and go to groups such as 'Lets play'and 'Singing with signs' . We visit the library and local community regularly.

We go on outings to different places such as Bosham, Chichester Marina, local duck ponds, beaches, the woods and the Aldingbourne centre to name a few.

In the garden I have a play house with a reading area, slide, pop up tents, ride on toys and balls, etc. I provide opportunities for gardening; we grow flowers, fruit and vegetables, feed the garden birds and play with sand and water.

I meet up weekly with other childminders to give the children I care for the opportunity to make friends with children outside my setting. We love having picnics with our friends.

I take each child's individual needs into consideration when i am planning activities and follow their interests as closely as possible as well as following the Early years foundation stage to track childrens progress regularly along with parents, to make sure they are not falling behind in their development. If I spot a delay in development then I will discuss this with parents, so together we can help the child progress.

I teach the children to share, take turns and be kind to each other.

I teach the children basic sign language from the very beginning to help them learn to communicate.

We keep the play room tidy together and help each other as much as we can. Most of all we have fun!

I have a non smoking household.

My son has been with Tina for 21 months and I have been very happy with the care she has provided for him. I have always felt he has been in good hands during her care. Happy when I leave him. Having lots of fun with her and updates during the day so I know how his day is goingHe has enjoyed his time with her and it is sad to say goodbye to which we are as he is off to a nursery setting.

My son has been looked after by Tina since he was 7 weeks old. I found her on this site, as I was looking for someone with baby experience. I love the home from home environment which she provides. She has a warm approachable manner. She has my son's best interest at heart , listening and doing as I request. . I never worry when leaving him as I trust her 100%. She has a lovely range of toys and always includes him in activities with the other children even though he is so little. I love that she sends me pics during the day so I feel included and a part of his day. I am really happy with my son spending his days with Tina as I know it is more than just a job to her. I know he is being encouraged to develop in a safe and happy environment . A contented child is a happy child. She is amazing with children and I fully recommend her 100% . Thank you for everything you do for him

Our daughter has really enjoyed going here and has grown so much with her knowledge and understanding. Our daughter frequently talks about Tina and the activities she has been doing. Tina links with home very well and is always understanding and very caring.
Our daughter is only leaving due to starting nursery. We are very glad we chose a childminder and even happier we found Tina. We will certainly be using Tina of the future should we need childcare.
We would recommend Tina 100%.
Thank you for everything.

Tina has been caring for my three children for almost 12 years. My two daughters and my son have always loved their time at Tina's house and she and her family are an absolute joy. There is everything you can imagine for the children at Tina's house including a great garden. The children have enjoyed cooking, messy play, reading, learning letters and numbers, making cards and gifts for family members for special occasions, planting sunflowers, learning about butterflies, trips to the park and beach to name a few!

My husband and I would highly recommend Tina as a childminder. She has become a good friend who is approachable, understanding and most importantly the children all adore her.
