My Experience
I have had the privilege of working as a childcare provider for 4 years. During this time, I've had the opportunity to care for children ranging in age from infants to six years old. My experience includes occasional babysitting alongside my work in both traditional and outdoor/forest school nursery settings, where I honed my skills in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. In my most recent nursery, I worked as the setting's music educator, inspiring learning through the exploration of sound.
I take great pride in my ability to connect with children, helping them develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Whether it's through educational activities, creative play, or simply being there to listen and support, I'm dedicated to helping children thrive.
My Qualifications
My primary qualification is a Level 3 in Early Years Education, and I have successfully completed paediatric first aid and safeguarding and child protection courses to ensure that I am well-equipped to handle any situation that may arise.
I have received in-house Montessori training and attended many workshops on different childcare practices. Additionally, I was part of the Germination project with Magic Acorns; an experimental model for professional development to develop musical play practice with young children.
I'm committed to ongoing learning and staying up-to-date with the latest childcare best practices to provide the highest level of care for your child. Consequently, I am currently in the second year of my Childhood and Youth Studies degree, and I enjoy supplementing my practical experience with academic knowledge I have gained on the course.
My Availability
I attend university for a half day on Monday, and a full day on Friday. I currently work for a supply teaching agency, but would be happy to switch to full time nannying should the right opportunity present itself.
