I am writing this review to warn other parents about a very serious incident involving deliberate dishonesty about my child's welfare. On 29 January 2026, this childminder sent me a photograph claiming to show my 11 months old son sleeping that day to reassure me he had settled. When I noticed it looked identical to a photo from his first nap day (14 January), I questioned her and she lied, denying it was the old photo. I then requested another photo to check on my son’s welfare. She responded by sending the SAME photo vertically flipped to make it appear he had moved in his sleep. When I discovered this digital manipulation and went to collect him immediately, I could hear him crying in the background. This means she was not only lying to me repeatedly but also hiding the fact that my child was distressed. A childminder who will deliberately deceive parents with fake photos and lie when challenged cannot be trusted with anyone's child. I have terminated the placement immediately and reported this to Ofsted and the Local Authority as a safeguarding concern. If she is willing to manipulate photos and lie about something as basic as nap time, what else might she conceal from parents? Please consider this very carefully before entrusting your children to her care.
