Hello, my name is Shahanara and I’ve been childminding for over 12 years, I am energetic, caring and enthusiastic about understanding and meeting children’s individual needs. Situated in the heart of Hackney near the Town Hall with excellent connections, close to tube, rail and bus stops. My latest Ofsted report was 'Good', I have references from past and present parents, one of the best ways for you to find out about the care I provide.
I provide a stimulating range of activities for babies and children at home including plenty of toys for all ages, arts and crafts, story time and singing sessions. I take the children on regular outings to Ann Tayler center, local groups and drop-ins, parks, farms and libraries.
I am a proud mum of two children, my daughter is 19 and son 13 years old. I have many years of experience working with children at all age group from 0-10, caring for babies from 1 months old, toddlers, pre-school, school age and twins.
Working with Government agencies such as DWP and Social Services as and when required as a Childminder, I have gained many skills and experiences which are both transferable into childminding. I am fully aware of the EYFS & I will implement this with an age appropriate child.
I enjoy taking the children to our local under 5 activities club, also to our local library and parks. If you have any questions or queries regards to your child's needs, then please feel free to message initially. I look forward to hearing from you.

My daughter is attending A Home To Grow for almost 3 years now. Excellent place. I am so grateful to A Home To Grow for the attention, care, and love which they are giving. I am worried when my daughter is in their care. Thank you for your help always.
Our son has been going to Shahana’s house since he was 8 months old. We were worried at first to leave him with a complete stranger but we decided to give it a trial for the first day, then 3 days, and then a week. We were also stricken by the warm and welcoming family and we do not know how the boy has quickly settled in with the environment. The place is spacious, clean with learning materials and Shahana spends time bonding with him to the point that he even calls her mum and, some weekends he asks to come to her house. Shahana also keeps a portfolio of activities showing lots of interactions which help his development. Today the boy 8 years ‘old, a big boy, well behaved and doing well at school. With Shahana we can get on with our routines with no worries. Having Shahana looking after our son is actually a blessing. Thank you.
Shahanara created a have created a very friendly and diverse environment for little ones to flourish in .My older daughter stayed with them from 10 months until nearly 5. My younger daughter was under 2 months and stayed till she turned 2. They were both very happy . Both girls made lot of little friends and play and learn a lot always being encouraged to learn and participate in educative activity without being pressured. I really think it was a nice balance, a lot of activity were proposed everyday. So it is not your usual childminder environment, more like a mini nursery but with a more personalised and flexible approach. They do daily reports with all activity and menu of the day if required . I was sorry to move on and have not be able to find as good childcare options. If circumstances could allow I would love to have my kids back with Shahanara . Feel free to get in touch if you want to know more. Wish all the best to Shahanara to grow with a lot of growing babies to look after.
