*OFSTED RATED GOOD 2018* Hi, my name is Sarah and I am an Ofsted registered Childminder at Happy Hippo Childminding Service. I provide quality childcare in a fun, friendly, safe, clean, and caring home from home environment. I live in a semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac located close to Newbury Lane, and Portway Hill, in Rowley Regis. I am married, and have twin daughters.
A wide range of age appropriate toys, books, and activities are available for babies and children.
In addition to attending the setting, children will have the opportunity (with parental permission) to visit baby and toddler groups, parks, farms, and libraries.
I aim to ensure that your child is happy and safe, whilst meeting their needs and encouraging their growth in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
I will complete learning journals containing your child's work and photos, so you'll have a keepsake of your children's milestones and achievements.
My husband and I both have cleared enhanced DBS checks.
Happy Hippo Childminding Service is open from 7am -6pm Monday to Friday both term time and throughout the school hoildays. If you require care outside of these hours please discuss with me and I will try and meet your requirements.
Free government funded places are available for 3 and 4 year olds, and also qualifying 2 year olds (subject to criteria).
Admissions policy applies and is available on request. Please see Privacy Notice below.
Please feel free to phone or email me.

What information I need about you and your child/ren
I hold information about you and your child/ren to allow me to comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS, 2017) and the Childcare Register (2016). • I am required to share a copy of your child’s 2 year progress check with your health visitor – I am required to do this by the EYFS (see the EYFS for more information);
• I am required to share information with my Local Authority for the purposes of the 2, 3 and 4 year old funding offer, and any extra funding I might claim for your child / ren.
• I share information about income and expenses including, when requested, your invoices and payments with HMRC and Tax Credits.
• If your childcare is paid for by a third party for example a NHS bursary, I will be required to provide sufficient information requested by them to approve payment to you.
Online data processing
Electronic equipment – I have a laptop which is used for business purposes for storing information. Information is stored on the laptop, and a backup copy is stored on Microsoft OneDrive. I use a digital camera to take photos of your child/ren, and they are printed using my laptop and then delete
I qualified as an Ofsted Registered Childminder in January 2016. I therefore have fresh skills and up to date training.

I have b/g twins and was very uneasy on leaving my children with anyone, after a lot of looking around and interviewing I found Sarah. My twins started attending the setting from 11months old and only left due to moving areas around 46months.
My children had a fabulous time at Sarah’s, and the children enjoyed their breif encounters with Sarah’s own children and husband who are all such a lovely family. Sarah provides an extremely safe and professional level of care with a clean home and cooks the most delicious, healthy food and snacks for the children.
The children didn’t take too long to settle with Sarah and were sad to leave. Over the years my twins enjoyed days out at the library, stay and plays, feeding the horses, trips to the museum and days out at the park.
I couldn’t recommend Sarah enough for any new parents who just want to feel at ease going back to work or like me starting a new adventure at uni which was scary enough.
Finally I was presented with beautiful folders filled with all the amazing things the children got upto, photos, art work and many comments on EYFS and my children’s progress and how they grew.
Many thanks to Sarah and her fabulous hard work.

Sarah has been looking after my little boy for the last 10 months and she has been a wonderful childminder.
She is incredibly kind, conscientious and most importantly fun!
The children do loads of activities, going outside a lot and crafting.
Her own daughters are delightful and my son will definitely miss them.
We will be very sad to move house and have to leave her.
