My Summary

My Experience

I have worked with children pretty much since leaving college. I became a Nursery Nurse and worked in a Nursery settings for a time and worked my way up to Base Room Manager. I worked for a long time in a Private Preparatory school as a Teaching Assistant where I completed my Degree in Early Years Education. I was a temp nanny in school holidays working for many families over the years to cover school holidays.

I took a year out of work to undertake my PGCE to become a Qualified Primary School Teacher. I worked in a school in Ashford for my NQT year and then worked in a school in Stanwell for the next 4 years until I had my son, who is now 4 years old.

Since my son was born, I have worked as a nanny for families who allow a nanny with own child. My current role is working with a family of 5, for 3 afternoons a week. Unfortunately this job will come to a natural end in September as both my son and their son will start school (different schools)

Along with this I am also employed by Surrey Adult Learning as a tutor, preparing and delivering classes for adults with additional needs which has given me additional skills and experience in special needs.

Prior to this I was a nanny for 2 girls 5yr and 8yrs for nearly 2 years. This was also a wrap around care role, unfortunately my role was made redundant because the parents are now working from home and they no longer needed the level of support they needed before COVID. Both families will happily provide a reference.

In the last 5 years I have been tutoring primary aged children and learners with additional needs. I tutor both face to face and online. I enjoy tutoring because it means I can give students my undivided attention which means I can understand that particular child's knowledge and skills on a far deeper level. This is where my Early Years background really helps as I can identify different learning styles and adapt the way I teach to suit each child. This is very much a part of the Early Years Curriculum so I am used to being reflective and using different strategies to help children learn to the best of their ability. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to see how children grow and learn and most of all gain in confidence so they are able to learn more effectively in all their subjects.

I am also available for evening babysitting.

My Availability

Nannying in school holidays - 9am/9.30am - 4pm but can negotiate. 3-5 days a week. (please note I have a 5 year old boy who comes with me. We come as a package)

Tutoring -
Available sessions
Wednesday- 9.30am-10.30am
5 15pm-6.15pm local
Thursday - 9.00am-10.am if local or Chobham.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

Nannying - £13-£15 net an hour.
school hols only
Note - I am nanny with own child

Online Tutoring £35 an hour
Face to face £40 an hour (within 5 mile radius) fees apply if more than 5 miles.

Babysitting between the hours of 7pm-12am £12 an hour before midnight £15 after midnight. (minimum of 4 hrs)
Nannying fee applies before 7pm
