About Me

My name is Emma Powell .

We live at the beautiful Moorhaven Village, near Ivybridge, Devon, where we have access to the parkland, play areas, gardens and moors all contained within this private estate. Within the estate we have access to woods (where we do forest school activities) , the moors and large open spaces to run and play games. Coupled with a local allotment where we can extend on gardening themes of veg, fruit and flowers

I am caring, empathetic and fun person who is very creative and loves, gardening ,cooking, arts & crafts, outdoor learning through natural resources and story telling.

My ethos is child centred, play based learning which is fun and safe in a lovely environment. Outdoor play and learning about our natural environment through exploration ; gardening, country walks, animal contact,' forest school' type learning is high on my agenda for the children to experience, coupled with daily outings to local playgroups, National Trust Gardens/ parks, Paignton Zoo, Living Coast , local libraries , museums , farms, beaches and of course the Aquarium!

Both of my children Harry and Olivia have had the pleasure (and still do) in attending Little Robins Childcare. I literally couldnt recommend this setting enough. Emma is kind, caring and treats the children as if this where her own, continually going out of her way to provide love, support and guidance. Harry and Olivia have loved the outdoor play, arts and crafts and baking activities, they have had such fun in visiting many National Trust properties as well as lots of different nature walks. They often come home with baked goods (that taste so yummy) and creative crafts. Harry now attends Ermington Primary school and is always very happy when Emma is doing drop off and pick up rather than mummy!! I couldnt recommend this setting more, if you want somewhere for your child to thrive in a fun and safe environment then look no further.
