About Me
My name is Daisy. I live in Earlsfield and grew up in Wimbledon. I currently work as a Year 1 teacher in a prep school. I have had six years of teaching experience across years 1-4. I have been working in education for 10 years. I am in my sixth year of teaching and absolutely love it! I have a real passion for reading and aim to read 100 books a year. I am about to start my training as a Yoga teacher specifically for children. I believe that children who enjoy learning tend to do better so I try my best to make learning fun and engaging. I tutored children virtually throughout the pandemic and still have ties with the families now.
My Experience
Since I was 6 Years old I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I worked first as a Teaching Assistant for 2 years before doing my teacher training through a school directed route. This meant that I could teach and train alongside each other. I have mostly worked in KS1 but have worked in KS2 as well. I have been teaching for 5 years. I have tutored both in person and virtually before and I have nannied children between the ages of 6 months and 7 years.
My Qualifications
I achieved 11 GCSEs at grades A*-B.
I have A-levels in Psychology, Economics and English Literature.
University Graduate in Social Sciences (BSc)
Postgraduate in Teacher Training (schools direct route).
