About Me

*Available for Night Nanny care 2-3 nights p/wk on Sunday/Monday/Friday nights, or for daytime Nanny care on Monday/Tuesday/Friday between 10am to 2pm for babies under 12 months from w/c 8th August onwards.*

In a nutshell, I'd describe myself as light-hearted, emotionally intelligent and resilient, compassionate, empathetic, and firm but fair. I've completed a Psychology degree a few years ago, which has helped to ignight my passion for caring for babies & young children. Throughout my degree, I learnt about attachment theories & behaviour as communication, developmental psychology, child psychology & much more! The first 2 years of a baby's life are most critical in forming secure attachments, and therefore I believe in giving babies the emotional care, as well as physical care, that they need whether that be in the form of lots of cuddles, contact naps (whilst following safe sleep guidelines), or baby-wearing - I'll always tend to their emotional needs and am firmly against 'cry it out' or similar methods.

I am truly committed to caring for babies & children and am a reliable, trustworthy person as I truly care about their welfare. I can communicate well with them and will give them what they need, physically and emotionally to support their development. I am a very responsible person who will ensure that the babies & children are safe at all times and make sure they have fun. I feel that I can relate well to babies & children as with my psychological knowledge and experience, I am able to support them and guide them sensitively through the key developmental, cognitive, emotional and physical changes that they go through.

I am also experienced in social, emotional & mental health (SEMH) issues. I'm currently completing a Maternity Nurse qualification as I'd like to specialise in providing day time & night care for newborns & babies under 12 months.

My Experience

Self-employed ad-hoc Nanny & Babysitter (2017 to present): I provide ad-hoc daytime Nanny care/Night Nanny care/evening Babysitting for newborns up to 17yr olds. I also provide proxy parenting care (living in the children's house whilst parents go away for a weekend/week/few days etc).

Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA), Learning Support Assistant & Home-School Link Worker in a secondary school (2021 to present).

Paediatric Health Care Assistant on a paediatric ward in an acute hospital (throughout 2021).

Live-in Private Nanny to a 4yr old & 2yr old (2019-2020).

Childminder's Assistant (during 2018).

Nursery Assistant (2015-2017): I mainly worked in the babies & teenies rooms (4 month olds to 18 month olds).

I also have experience with twin babies. I am also competent & confident in caring for babies with various medical conditions, allergies, & any other health problem as I have worked on a paediatric ward as a health care assistant previously so have completed much training and experience in various health conditions and emergencies.
