Hi my name is Michala I'm an ofsted registered childminder in Upton. Married and have two daughters aged 10 and 12.
I have over 16 years experience as a qualified ofsted registered nanny, with a vast amount of experience and knowledge of working with children from birth - 13 years . I have also worked in different settings such as nursery's, and I was an over sea's crèche leader in Cyprus.
I have a spacious toy room with a good selection of toys/resources for all ages and space to play and explore with plenty of natural light. I have a craft table for getting creative with arts and crafts and a home corner with a play kitchen,and dolls which is always a popular role play area.
I also have a great outdoor space with room to play and have lots of fun with a range of outdoor play equipment and ride on toys, sand play, water table, mud play and areas for your little ones to use their imagination and creative skills, with a large chalkboard for mark making.
All children will have the opportunity to learn through play, I will provide lots of fun activities for children to participate in as well as child- initiated play.
Puppet shows, dressing up, messy play, cooking, role play, junk modelling, arts & crafts, story telling, sand & water play, painting, baking, music, singing, The list is endless just a few ideas listed.
I'm passionate about my job and have always worked in childcare, I offer the highest level of care and commitment to children and their families. I'm a bubbly, fun,caring and organised person and everyone will be welcome, valued and respected. I offer a home from home service offering a safe, secure and happy place to be and work closely with parents to ensure all children's needs are met. I follow the EYFS and support children in all areas of learning and development.
I'm an active person who loves the outdoors and likes to visit toddler groups, parks, beaches, Kingston maurewood, soft play, Upton country park, Kingston Lacy, tank museum, rhyme time,swanage, train rides , libraries. My local library is within walking distance from my home, all children will visit the library and I will organise for all children to have their cards so they can choose books which they can share at home too. My home is also within walking distance to Upton country park which I like to visit regularly.
I can offer school drop-offs and picks ups from Lytchett Matravers preschool and Lytchett Matravers primary school.
I offer 3 & 4-year-old funding, 2-year funding and accept childcare vouchers.

After visiting many nursery's/ day cares in the area, I couldn't find the right fit for my little boy and always walked away feeling anxious and unhappy with the thought of leaving him there. I then found Michala and after meeting her, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. Michala has been amazing with my son, he has absolutely thrived in her care and I couldn't be happier with the progress he has made since being there.
My son has grown a lovely bond with Michala and has loved going there each week. Some days when I picked him up, he didn't want to leave.
Michala takes the children out daily whether it's to the beach, farm, park or museum and does lots of indoor and outdoor home based activities too. Michala is very thoughtful when it comes to special occasions like mothers/ fathers day or birthdays and involves the children in arts and crafts to make beautiful cards and gifts.
I couldn't recommend Michala enough, she is an absolutely amazing child minder. If we wasn't relocating out of the area, there is nowhere else I would send my son. I'm really going to struggle to find another child minder like her.

I cannot recommend Michala highly enough - she is the most wonderful childminder I could have ever imagined having. She looked after my now 2 year old for almost 1 year, but we have recently relocated so have had sadly to say goodbye. Despite having moved away, my little one still talks about her even now and asks to see her - she made such a positive impact on my daughter and built a really lovely relationship.
Michala provides a fun and safe environment for the kids, and always plans fun adventures with them. She is so thoughtful with the crafts and activities, and my daughter often came home with cute creations. My partner is Latvian, and Michala was so thoughtful with Christmas and Father’s Day by translating the wording in the cards that they made into Latvian. It’s the little things like that show she’s one in a million and goes above and beyond in her childminding role.
I found Michala through this website/app and was a little anxious when I went round to meet her, but as soon as I met her I immediately knew I wanted her to be my little one’s childminder.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to her, she is absolutely amazing and has set the bar incredibly high for any future childcare that my daughter has!!

Michala is in my opinion the best childminder you will find. My son has been with her 5 months now and he absolutely loves going. He settled in really quickly, having never been away from home before and he really enjoys all the activities she organises for him and his little buddies he has made there.
Each week his diary is filled with details of all the fun places they have been and the activities he has enjoyed at home with Michala. We also recieve a batch of photos weekly from her which I personally love, as it brings to life the diary entries.
Michala is very flexible and has happily added extra days, changed times etc as I have needed for work, which has made my life much easier upon returning to work.
Her and her girls, who appear to adore having the little ones about, are all just lovely. If you are looking for a home from home setting for your child you won't find a more loving, friendly and caring environment then at Michala's.

We feel very lucky to have found Michala. Since our little boy started with her he has flourished. He is always desperate and excited to get there. He has formed a lovely bond with Michala, her children and the other children he meets through Michala’s connections with other childminders.
Every day our little boy is offered a new adventure and opportunities to learn new things. He is encouraged to play and participate in a wide array of activities. We love all the places that Michala takes him to.
Communication is amazing - we always get an account of his day and photos of his many adventures.
Michala really has made our little boy feel right at home and in her care he is thriving. We couldn’t recommend Michala highly enough.

Our daughter has been with Michala since she was 17 months old . My daughter absolutely loves going to Michala’s and has a great bond with the other mindees and Michala’s own children. I am impressed with Michala’s wide range of toys, role play opportunities, reading area and her beautiful outdoor space. My daughter takes part in many educational and play based activities which Michala resources and makes herself. My daughter goes out daily, socialising with others to parks, the library, she is encouraged to be creative, cook, draw, explore messy play. I love the detailed communication from Michala in the form of a daily diary . My working day is busy and I am content knowing my daughter is being looked after to the highest standard as well as learning valuable life skills. I highly recommend Michala and cannot thank her enough for all she does.
