Hi there, first thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a 21 year old university student looking for work locally during the school year. I am living in the Cheylesmore area of Coventry during term time (mid-September to mid-December, January to mid-March and May-July.
As well as offering private tutoring services, I offer babysitting services meaning I am also happy to help the kids with homework, keep the house tidy and (if you're there) give you support if/when you need it.
I am great with kids and am pursuing a career as a child psychologist. I am now entering my 3rd year as Psychology undergraduate student at the University of Warwick but out of term time I live 5 minutes walk from the QEH, Birmingham, just to give you an idea of whereabouts I am (and also as there seems to be a number of people on here working there).
My interests include , cooking, listening to/playing music, going to the gym, arts/crafts, animal welfare, child development and anything to do with mental health.
I don't drive but I can get to places on/near local bus routes but prefer to walk.
I cannot offer a school drop-off/pick-up service.
Feel free to view my GCSE grades, enhanced DBS certificate, online training certificates and passport, attached to my profile under the documents section.
I have done work experience at St Thomas' Children's Centre where I worked at the crèche, reception desk, Stay&Play/Twist&Shout groups and with the children of ESOL students.
I have also completed a placement at Worcester Royal Hospital in the Children's Clinic, doing observational rounds, keeping patients entertained, researching the conditions of patients and sitting in on the specialised epilepsy/asthma/paediatric clinics.
Employment ended last year (due to funding issues) with Autism West Midlands where I worked with children up to 19 with autism/Asperger's Syndrome (alongside other special educational needs) since 2015.
Currently I work as a freelance editor in my spare time.
I also have an in-depth awareness of medical problems, particularly of mental illnesses (namely developmental/behavioural/mood/eating/personality disorders as I have been (and continue to do) campaigning for a major mental health organisation (Forward Thinking Birmingham, previously CAMHS) in my spare time for over 5 years now.
Can also take care of any pets (I have a golden Labrador) if applicable.
Please refer to the reviews section of my profile if you want to see the kind of feedback I've received since becoming a member of this site.

Gaya came across really well both in her well-written profile through to messaging and then to when we met her and employed her for a days nannying.
One of the nicest things about her is her honesty and her desire to do her best for the parents and the children. She looked after our children just after they got back from holiday, and to say they were hyper was an understatement! It tested Gaya's nerve and she handled it really well, so that by the end of the day things were much more settled and under control.
Gaya was prompt/ on time and reliable, and trustworthy. She happily sorted out the kids meals and was attentive to them.
Really happy to recommend her!
