Dear families,
My name is Maria Cuesta. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education, Preschool and Primary School Teaching (QTS), which I obtained in 2009, and several years of experience working with children of all different ages in EYFS. I have also undergone Safeguarding training, which allows me to identify specific signs and symptoms in children who may need additional support.
I am a very energetic and enthuciastic. I enjoy pretty much everything that has to do with children and childhood.
I consider myself to have good interpersonal skills as I´ve been worked with a considerable amount of families. Overall, I think my personality, experience, drama skills and knowledge of the Spanish and Italian language are my biggest assets.

My Experience
I've been working in childcare from I was 16 years old. Firstly as babysitter, then as girl scout in summer camps, drama teacher until I got my degree where I become a Early Years qualified Teacher.
Throughout my career I have gained expertise in working with children with a varied array of special educational needs.
My past and currently experience has also given me the opportunity to lead and plan Forest School activities, where I expanded the children’s knowledge about the environment -plants, animals, etc- exploring throughout Forest School Philosophy, encouraging them to learn by natural resources.
I previously worked as I said before as a drama teacher with children of all different ages, including teenagers. I encourage the children using my own knowledge, creativity and energy.
The use of creative arts, such as drama, is an important part of my educational style.
I am living in London from 2016 and I am very familiar about childcare policies and requirements.
