Friendly family living near Old St Mellons/Cefn Mably, Cardiff/Newport area, looking for childcare for 2-3 full days per week to look after our 18 month old and help with school drop offs and pick ups for our 7 year old boy to start September 2024
My Requirements
We have two boys 7 years and 1.5 years. It would be longish hours for 2 days per week: 6:30am - 8pm on Monday and Tuesday, the majority of the time spent looking after our toddler (in our home or taking him to classes/trips to the park) as our older son in school, but also taking the older one to an after-school club, plus another drop off on an additional morning, so around 30 hours per week in total, but happy to add more hours for anyone who wouldn't mind doing some housekeeping (tidying/laundry/cooking etc.). We live in Michaelston-y-Fedw, a village just by Old St Mellons so a car is essential for drop off and pick up of our older son as we don't live near a public transport route (although only 15mins drive from central Cardiff). Lilly has been with us since the start of 2020 and has been a fantastic addition to the family. She has been excellent with our son (three and half) and is always coming up with really creative and fun things for them to do together - a space station and rocket was a particular favourite! In addition, over the last 10 months she has taken on a lot of the homeschooling whilst the schools were closed, helping with his reading, writing and letter sounds. She's also been incredibly helpful around the house helping to organise and arrange various parts in a far more logical way, all of which is in addition to all the weekly washing, tidying and cleaning. Lilly is very reliable, hardworking and is an excellent nanny and we would thoroughly recommend her.
