About Me
I am a caring and friendly nanny based in Staple Hill, Bristol. I feel that helping children to learn and grow, and watching as they begin to talk, walk and develop their personalities is very special and one of the most fulfilling jobs there is. I believe passionately in learning through play, and child-led activities so that the little ones are fully engaged. I love trying to make every day different and exciting, whilst simultaneously maintaining a routine to ensure that they always feel as secure as possible. I have done some Forest School training, and love getting outdoors with children and exploring the opportunities that learning through nature can bring.
I am very musical and love incorporating singing into our day, whether that's as part of routines, a learning tool, or just for fun! I really enjoy cooking and love creating fun and healthy snacks and meals for children, and getting them to join in where possible - always happy to make extra portions for the parents to have later, if required!
My Experience
I have extensive experience of working with children from birth to 11 years. I have worked in childcare / early education for nearly 15 years; as well as nannying I have experience as an Au Pair, a Nursery Nurse, a Montessori Teacher and a Reception Teacher. I prefer nannying as I love the one-on-one interaction it brings, and I really value the bond that is created when you work with just one family.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Early Years, and also a PGCE in Primary Teaching with Early Years specialisation.
I have also undertaken relevent training in Child Protection, Safeguarding, Fire Safety, and Forest School. My Pediatric First Aid certificate is current and up-to-date.
My Availability
I will have availability for part-time work (2.5 days) from mid November.

Anna has been an excellent nanny for our three children, and they all love her. She has been very accommodating and flexible where needed, good humoured, and coped admirably with the arrival of a new baby and the occasional chaos of three children! She has helped with potty training, is always on time, and also a great cook... If we could take her with us when we leave Bristol I definitely would do so!
