I'm 26. I currently live in Hattersley near Hyde. I have recently completed my PGCE in Primary Education at Manchester Metropolitan University, I have been recommended to achieve Qualified Teacher Status on the 21st of July and have achieved a distinction overall in my assessments.
I am flexible to support children and their families in any circumstances. This may be through occasional care while you are working or while you enjoy an evening out or a more structured timetable over this summer holidays. I am also passionate about tutoring and have skills to teach all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum in a stimulating and creative way. Due to the current Covid-19 guidance, I will ensure that any child I care for and their family are kept safe. If I am to come and work in your home with your child/ren I will take the correct hygiene procedures to ensure the safety of the family and myself. I am passionate to care and educate children and am enthusiastic to support children and their families with any care or education requirements you may have before all students go back to school in September. I have a clear DBS check and full paediatric first aid. I have a full UK driving Licence, my own car and am willing to drive to many areas around Manchester.
My main dedication is to ensure children are happy, safe, independent, resilient, and reach their full potential. I am enthusiastic to create fun experiences for children with educational aspects, I am confident to create activities through the children's interests that enables them to learn without them directly thinking they are learning. I will be a co-player in their care and extend their knowledge through following their lead and joining in with their interest.
I will be caring and professional with your children and ensure they feel safe, happy and respected in my care. I will also enforce any boundaries you have in place, I will use restorative behaviour techniques to enable children to be respectful of themselves and those around them, take responsibility for their actions and their environment, be honest and develop resilience by taking on challenges. I absolutely love the outdoors and will take children out to explore in all weathers as long as they are clothed appropriately. I have become interested in the Hygge ethos and have completed introductory training, I implement this way of education and care into my practice, may that be in a classroom or in someones home.
I'm friendly and enthusiastic about working with children and have great interest in many passions children also have. I love all things Disney and enjoy dressing up as well known characters from Disney and popular characters from children's TV and stories such as the ladybird from 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson, I have dressed as many characters in the classrooms I have worked in to spark interest in certain topics and have had great engagement from the children because of this. I have a large collection of children's books and love reading, I can create many activities around children's favourite books to incorporate many areas of the curriculum. For example, linking Handa's surprise to solving work problems up to 20, the continents of the world and where different fruits are grown, computing and creating algorithms for Handa to find Akeyo's village and many more!
I absolutely love music and love to dance and am enthusiastic to teach and play with children through singing and musical experiences, this can be through looking at phonics and simple instructions for activities through song.
I will be enthusiastic to take children on outings or to meet with their friends or to clubs and activities and ensure to follow social distancing guidance as I believe children should be able to socialise and access as many opportunities as possible.
If you have any queries about my style of care for children, my availability or anything else, please do not hesitate to contact me any way you feel comfortable.
