Closer to Nature - Stacey's Childminding and Forest School
Combining great childcare with outdoors and nature.
I know how much your child means to you. I know how hard it is making the decision to go back to work and looking for the right childcare to suit you and your child, and also how important finance is. I was looking for childcare that was flexible in a safe environment that was at an affordable cost.
I came to the decision that I would become a Childminder after the birth of my daughter, and show support, helping other parents who have decided to go back to work by offering that flexible, safe environment where you can be happy and relaxed going back to work, knowing your child is in the best care.
I aim to develop a genuine bond with your child and with parents and offer a settled, close relationship, where your child can build their experiences.
My baby has now grown up and now started school and I have moved from Norfolk, where I was a very popular childminder, with children ranging from under 1 up to 8 years old. As my daughter has grown up, I have now attended and working with a Forest school, and aiming for my Level 3 of Forest School training, where the children can learn from the love of play in the outdoor environment. I hope to continue to offer the positive, home environment, as well as bringing in the natural environment for children to learn and grow at their natural pace. They can build dens, learn about bugs and what lives in our local woods and forests, the different species of plants and trees, as well as playing lots of games; and as this is a child-led approach, then who knows what each day can bring?
Children learn and develop a taste of life in this 'closer to nature' approach. They will have opportunities to pick and taste organic foods from local farm shops, learn about the seasons of fruit and veg, and use their imaginations to create their own nutritional meals.
I have 5 years experience childminding with children aged 0-11 year olds and working in different forest schools across Bristol and Gloucestershire.
I have my relevant qualifications and certificates on:
- Introduction to Childcare
- Regular Safeguarding Children training
- Paediatric First Aid
- Forest School level 1 and 3
I do not have set opening and closing times although my current hours of work at the moment due to popularaity of those days are 0800-1800 Mon-Fri.
