About Me
My name is Gillian and I am an OFSTED registered childminder who holds a degree in Early Years with Paediatric First Aid Training. I live in Aylesbury with my two children aged 16 and 14. As my children are growing up they are continuously thriving in all areas academically and personally. This is a result of understanding that children’s personalities are formed at such an early age from what they see and hear, thus it's imperative to make sure their early environments and interactions they encounter are rich in life experiences for a successful future.
I provide a secure, caring environment in which children from birth may develop and learn through satisfying and appropriate play within a friendly, safe and encouraging environment where children can be themselves and also enjoy the time they spend with the other children and myself. I offer your child the scope to acquire skills, learn to communicate, gain confidence and most of all to have fun doing so.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space as well as resources to inspire children and help with their early years developmental stages. With a dedicated playroom, offering a wide selection of educational and fun toys appropriate to the children’s age; the children are encouraged to participate in play or structured planned activities including supervised free play in a stimulating and safe environment.
The type of learning is enormously varied and I combine both adult led and child initiated activities in conjunction with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. My days are therefore quite flexible as children's inputs are welcome, allowing the children's interests to be explored, revisited and influenced daily through play and activities that unfolds their individuality as well as furthering their learning journey. Additionally, I take the children on regular outings to the local shops, parks, nature walks, garden centres, libraries and children's soft play centres offering a wealth of additional learning experiences.

My Experience
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and young people in a variety of organisations across numerous boroughs with a diversity of backgrounds and individual care needs as a Pre-school and Nursery Manager, providing care for children from birth to 19 years old before becoming a childminder.

My Availability
I offer care Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm year round with the exception of a week holiday at Easter and Christmas. I can provide care outside these hours to cater for shift workers where possible.
I also offer short-term drop-off service for those unexpected errand runs, appointments and meetings without the worry of finding last minute childcare.

My Fees
- Childminding from £15.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
Childminder rates are charged at £15.00 per hour which includes freshly prepared meals (breakfast, lunch and tea) made on the premises and all snacks throughout the day.
Rates for babysitting vary according to hours, with a typical charge of £18.00 per hour before 12:00am and £20.00 per hour thereafter.
Rates for short-term drop-off session vary according to hours and availability, with a typical charge of £20.00 for a 90 minutes time slot.
