Hi I live in the St Anne’s/Brislington area.
I will be looking to start with a new family from mid September 2024.
I am a caring, responsible, respectful person. I immensely enjoy, caring for children of all ages, stages, abilities and personalities. I like to get to know and form a bond with the children, so that they are confident to be themselves around me and express themselves, freely. I am a self starter, organised, enthusiastic and bring a happy, positive energy on a daily basis.
A child learns by example, so I highly promote good manners, kindness, sharing and showing empathy to others.
I am very respectful and very interested in different cultures, religions and beliefs. I like to work in partnership with parents/carers, to gain detailed, knowledge and understanding of the child's likes and dislikes. I take into consideration parents wishes, expectations, routines and methods. I will always prioritise, safeguarding as my main duty, but I am open to give and receive suggestions, to enhance the care and wellbeing of the child. I like to learn, as much as I like to teach.
I like to care in a gentle, encouraging, happy manner and lead by example. I pride myself on impeccable time keeping, being very organised and
making a difference, to firstly, the child's day and secondly, the parents/guardians, day, to reassure them that their child is in safe, caring hands.
My Experience
I have had over 20 years experience working as a childminder, for private families, Bristol social services and Bristol City Council, private high networth families in London, and GDST nursery school volunteer teaching assistant - London. I am experienced in working with age groups: 3months - 16years, (experienced in working with twins from 3months plus), in a professional capacity and as I have grown up children and grandchildren of my own, I am actively involved as a mother/grandmother in a personal capacity.
My Qualifications
I am an Ofsted registered nanny
Cache level 2 childcare qualified
Cache level 3 supporting Teaching and Learning
Paedeactric First aid qualified
Numerous courses relevant to childcare such as behaviour management, inclusive play, foetal alcohol syndrome etc..
I have public liability insurance
I hold a full driving licence
