We are a small, friendly school nursery based just outside of Ripon, in the pretty village of Bishop Monkton. Our aim is to offer a safe and caring, exciting and stimulating learning environment, with many challenges and new experiences which will enable your child to leave us confident, independent and ready for full time education.
We will nurture your child’s interests and endeavour to incorporate them into every area of learning. We will support self identity and self worth. It is important to us that we work in partnership with our parents, building sound relationships and supporting your children’s individual needs through the ‘key person’ system. As well as self chosen activities, we plan activities that are lead by your child’s individual next steps and the EYFS development matters age appropriate statements. We have a huge focus on learning in our outdoor environments, and this is very important to us! As well as spending time choosing whether to be in the outdoor/indoor secure areas, we spend time on the field in our dedicated area with climbing frames, pirate ship and physical activity resources or exploring the woodland area, watching newts in the pond, bug hunting, making dens and watching the seasons change.

We offer places to funded (Golden ticket) and non funded 2 year olds, and 3/4 year olds with 15/30 hours government funded childcare, extra paid sessions can be booked.
