Hello I’m Katy, I am NVQ Level 2&3 in Childcare and I hold a valid Full UK driving license.
I have worked with babies and children for over 10 years and am looking for a role where I can continue to develop my skills and build meaningful relationships with a family and a role I feel passionately about. I have vast experience in childcare and I am confident, kind and practical Nanny. I have a passion for caring for and supporting children and am confident that I would make a positive impact.
Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work in different childcare settings, both in Nurseries and as a private Nanny. This has helped me learn many different skills and approaches and has shaped and equipped me to have skills in many different areas: I am flexible, a quick thinker, and confident in different situations. I am also kind, compassionate and good-natured. As I have encountered so many different children, all with differing needs or requirements, I have become successful in adapting and developing my approach and support accordingly to support each child. I understand the importance of developing strong and trusting relationships with both the children and parents.
I have a passion for supporting children and helping them explore the world and enjoy seeing them grow. I enjoy providing engaging and creative activities to help children develop and encourage a love of learning and exploration of the world around them. I have experience of working with parents and when necessary, specialists to develop and deliver successful care plans and routines. I always strive to create a happy, safe and encouraging environment for children. I have experience of supporting with homework and designing activities to supplement school-work; additionally, during the coronavirus lockdown I was responsible for home-schooling one of the children I was a nanny for.
I also have experience of household management and regularly cook healthy, balanced meals for the children I care for. I uphold high standards and believe my household management has directly improved the day to day life of the families I have worked. I believe that my skills and experience combined with my passion and enthusiasm would make me a great fit for a family.
