About Me
My name is Olivia Freeman, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder (consistently rated Good) working in the Erdington area of Birmingham, with 20 plus years experience. I am also a member of Pacey.
I have immense love and compassion for children and enjoy creating a home environment where children feel safe, happy and well cared for.
I take great pride in providing a warm, clean, stable and happy family environment for your child.
I have cared for many children, throughout my childminding career and have often looked after children, from babies to growing into young adults.
It has been wonderful, to have the pleasure of seeing these children develop, learn and grow into honest, genuine, young people and I feel grateful, that I have been able to play a part in their care. Wellcomm Development Process documentation is used to demonstrate individual development.
I have 4 (now grown up) children, and now grandchildren too ! and I really do understand the need for parents to feel comfortable that they have a trustworthy and honest person caring for their child, in a safe clean and engaging environment. • Planning a variety of play-based activities/experiences that stimulate and support children’s learning
and development at an appropriate level to meet their individual needs.
• Listening to, encouraging, enabling, engaging and motivating children to learn.
• Providing healthy, nutritious refreshments and promoting healthy lifestyles for child and family.
• Implementing policies and procedures in line with Ofsted and good practice guidance.
• Working with parents and carers to learn about their child.
• Creating risk assessments for each area that is used by children and for any other situation or
activity that could pose a potential hazard to children.
• Ensuring equipment is safe, well maintained and age appropriate.
• Ensuring good hygiene standards are met.
• Following all safety & first Aid procedures (including the Safeguarding Children Policy).
• Keeping all essential documentation up to date. For example; registration forms, accidents records,
and other records to show when medication has been/will be administered etc.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for many years and have looked after many children. I have long standing parents for example 2 sets of parents 1 set have been coming to me for 14 years and the other set for 20 years. I have held a Good outcome with Ofsted for many years. I have looked after children from 3 months old through to Senior School. I pride myself with the standard of care I give to the children in my care. I have an excellent relationship with all the parents. I have a large house and garden that is very clean and suitable for children of all ages. I have a large verity of toys and crafts which helps with children’s learning and development. I rotate these on a regular basis. I do learning journals with each child and monitor their development these are available for parents to see of their children.
My Qualifications
Level 2 Safeguarding Children,
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene.
First Aid including Paediatric.
Childcare Early Years Foundation Stages
I am qualified with many years of experience caring for children of ages from three months old to pre-school children.
My Availability
I have one places available age 0 – 5 years
One places available over 5 years.
I am available to take and collect from Marsh Hill J&I School, Brookvale J&I School and St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School.
I am also available to take and collect from Marsh Hill Pre-School.
I provide all food and drink throughout the day for your child. (Apart from baby formula or special dietary requirements)

We’re thrilled to share our experience as Emily moves on to preschool! From the moment I returned to work when she was just one, Olivia has treated Emily like part of her family. Emily absolutely loves spending the day with Olivia, and she enjoys her delicious home-cooked meals. Olivia has nurtured her and taught her so much along the way, and Emily adores her. Honestly, we have been incredibly impressed with the care Olivia has provided. If you're on the lookout for a childminder, do pop by and see Olivia! My little boy has been with Olivia since he was 18 months. He was a lockdown baby and lacked in confidence and speech.
Olivia has really brought his confidence on and helped with his speech. His now thriving, confident and ready for school.
She really does go above and beyond for the children.
The love Olivia shows for the children is truly heart warming. Been a first time mom it's difficult to feel confident leaving your child with someone new. I instantly felt welcome and from meeting Olivia and seeing her home i knew it was the place for us. I think I was the one who found it harder leaving Oliver but Olivia reassured me he was fine and happy, she even sent me pictures showing him playing and settling in. I could tell when I was collecting him he had enjoyed his day.
I will be sad to see Oliver leave due to going to a local school but will definitely be returning during the school holidays as I wouldn't go anywere else. A big Thank you for everything.

Our daughter Emily has been with Olivia for the last year and we look forward to the future years that she will be with Olivia. Olivia has always been very reliable and accommodating of Emily’s routines!
Olivia helped her to settle in very quickly when I went back to work. She was very patient and loving towards Emily. Olivia has as an amazing amount of toys for her to play with and does activities with her. Emily loves her trip to playgroup each week.
Emily always comes out very clean even through learning to eat properly and potty training which Olivia has also been very supportive with! It is very much a home from home environment and Emily no longer wants to leave at the end of the day!
I highly recommend Olivia!
