North Nibley Pre-school is a community run preschool in the beautiful village of North Nibley, Gloucestershire. We are based in the Village Hall which is newly refurbished. We have our own garden area for free flow play and we can access the small play park adjacent to the hall. Running since 1974, We are a well established, small and caring group catering for children from 2 years until they move to school. We maintain close contacts with North Nibley C of E primary school and operate a feeder system for entry into the reception year.
Our playleader is a qualified to level 3 and with many years experience in pre-schools. All of our other staff are qualified to level 2 or level 3. They are very caring, motivated and genuinely enjoy working with young children, who they each value as unique individuals.
Whilst following the governments Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our skilled staff allow the children's interests and abilities to influence the sessions. So although the early years curriculum forms the basis of our planning, the children provide the inspiration.
We are open 30 hours a week and available to take children whose parents are eligible for the extended hours entitlement (ie. 30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds) and the normal universal entitlement, (ie. 15 hours per week). We are also a registered provider and are able to accept 2 year old funding where applicable. We accept childcare vouchers too.

Lovely friendly pre-school is very welcoming with a family feel, great location with lots of walks and fields to explore, our little girl loved all the activities and crafts they did together, she enjoyed all the school prep ready for her to start soon and left feeling very supported. She has made so many friends it was so heartwarming to drop and pick her up with smiles, our other little one can’t wait to start.
We couldn’t have been happier with this setting, they know the children well as individuals. The different things my child learnt and use to come home with was excellent, he was so pleased about what he had made and would tell me about it, it was lovely to hear about it all, he loved going every morning we would get “am I going to Preschool today” it was lovely knowing I was leaving him somewhere he wanted to be. The staff were brilliant at keeping me up to date with progress and would always have time to speak to me when I needed a chat about my child. I would highly recommend this setting!
